Has there been too much bipartisanship or too little?

The reward Joe Lieberman will receive today is justified by the claimed need for more bipartisanship harmony. Is it even possible to have more than we have now?

    ...and a great rebuttal for all the hand-wringers who complain that Washington has been too "partisan".

    Washington wasn't partisan at all! Well, that's a bit of an exaggeration (see, for example, the times where Hastert/DeLay kept a vote in the House open extra long to "arm-twist".)

    But yes, every major, big-power initiative this decade had plenty of support from establishment Democrats as well as the Republicans in power.

    They really don't give a shit.
