Has there been too much bipartisanship or too little?

The reward Joe Lieberman will receive today is justified by the claimed need for more bipartisanship harmony. Is it even possible to have more than we have now?

    One Toqueville Over the Line

    . There are very real philosophical, cultural, and political differences between these rival political cultures (New England, Midlands, and South) that were identified by Alexis de Toqueville in the 1830's.

    Are you not aware that de Toquiville has been exposed by scholars as a complete fabricator? That, in fact, he wrote most of his travel diaries while sitting in the bathtub, drinking brandy?

    I would cool it on the de Toqueville. Other people may not be as nice about it as I am.
