A positive aspect of the Bush legacy

The international community has an important new motivating tool: Telling world leaders they'll "be like Bush" if they pursue aggression and tyranny.

the honesty of others. -- omooex

Ah, the liar who votes on skin color comes forth and lobbies that one should not care about quotes that are not really quotes.

I remember one who thought non-violence was the most important issue. I think honesty is the most important.

You think attacking people is just a spot of fun.

You will deserve everything that the karma gives you.

Its odd that a poster caught in an elaborate, demented lie

about his sock puppets, is so obsessed with the honesty of others.

Ondelette

The bill is called "The Conflict Coltan and Cassiterite Act" its meant to cover both minerals, so I don't see the non-sequitur. I'll be honest with you though, I'd never heard of Coltan before.

Potent Threats

Glen: This works ... what they do in the Middle East if they need to threaten each other is to tell them if they're not good - they'll bring them "Democracy." We have so much work to do ....

My dear Timothy3,

People who shop at Whole Foods do not bleed.

Perhaps Trader Joe's carries your organic bandaids. I never shop there because of the lower prices and those dreadful Hawaiian shirts. The limpenproletariat have such a coarse sense of fashion, do they not?

Sunday, November 16, 2008 06:31 AM

SS

Ouch.

Pick me up some organic bandaids.

Sunday, November 16, 2008 06:27 AM

Timothy,

Limpenproletariat vs. elite.

Which one calls the other one crazy?

Which one calls the other one stupid?

OMG!

I am one of them!

I suppose I shall go to Whole Foods and pick up some fresh quail, some quinoa risotto, a rack of lamb and some torts

Enjoy your double cheeseburger.

That's very funny, in a morbid sort of way. Kudos.

I've decided: you're crazy.

Ancient Non-Sequiturs

Talking snakes.

Burning bushes that talk.

Would you believe . . .

Sunday, November 16, 2008 05:50 AM

My dear herur-ur,

FTFY - fixed that for you.

You are unfamiliar with the internet humor convention of FTFY.

Perhaps this explains why

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FTFY

No deceit or insult towards you was intended.

Your response has insulted you far better than I ever could.

How many fingers am I holding up?

You are unfamiliar with 1984 as well?

Non sequiturs are effective tools, just listen to an Obama speech. Political speech is mind control and programming. I take offense at the technique, not your comment concerning it.

It would be nice to not have to explain such to folks, but these are trying times, are they not?

Now let's see how long it takes for lenn and Salon to delete this post.

I would really appreciate it if you would not make stuff up and then make it look like you are quoting me.

That is lying. You must quote exactly or not use the quote marks.

I hope Glenn deletes that post of yours for that very reason.

something or other

Now let's see how long it takes for lenn and Salon to delete this post.

Maybe if you post a thing or two of substance and stop with this obsession, the issue of deletion would no longer be an issue, n'est-ce pas?

My dear Heru-ur,

"I have noticed over the years, with the possible exception of out-right lies, that the non-sequitur is one of the main tools of mind control and programming in this country."

FTFY.

Now let's see how long it takes for lenn and Salon to delete this post.

Just to make sure, the picture at factcheck.org of the document is TWO pixels off rather than ONE pixel off since it is a higher resolution image.

Interesting article today in NYT about Congo Wow! Major non-sequitur at the end of the article.-- ondelette

I have noticed over the years, with the possible exception of out-right lies, that the non-sequitur is one of the main tools of political speech in this country.

ondelette.... Windy Night. Moon say: Go read @ UT? okay.

I usually am just happy to speak the pent-up feelings I've harbor within. I call it vent. I've told Glenn in person.... UT is my venting outlet. Maybe I overdue a Venting on some days? I hope no. I e-mailed Glenn one day at the old UT. Then I sent a Community Supported Agriculture Farm Print to CSA members because it had a Potato Soup Recipe. Lawyers are extreme goofs?

IMO. Well, it's easier to give a compliment than to crave a flattery insincere comment. But some times we/me appreciate a kind word if we respect the speaker-person. So, I think I needed, and accept that 'ay, ondelette's comment. I'm weary and restless. My father would say:` I'm so pooped, I can't sleep. He toss in bed, and throw off the sheets. My mother would hit the soft suffa` and crank-tease at Dad in the morn. She said my Dad snored, jabbered, cussed, moaned, and always want to decompress with sex. All women assume males are raving sex maniac beast? huh. humph. A tiny hermit hut! I believe most men can be satisfied?

No TV, computer, auto-transportation,

but a maiden to cook and serve meals?

Yikes. Sure-enough easy to find chaos.

O, and stop over on demand? cuddles?

We all have our unique personal views.

People can share those peculiar ideas.

Peculiar is good. It's essential to share.

I will wonder if my popping is too rash.

I'll toss mentally some notion for years.

@ UT a idea matures as we read others.

It's a great place to discuss and analyze.

Soliloquy-rolling over a many thoughts.

It's in quiet space when no one hears us.

That's safe. Then it shouts aloud to vent!

The public expression is more freak-risk?

Being vulnerable is to lowers the britches?

I tease:`To write is to waddle sorta naked.

Maybe thee obstetrician can be the blame?

Fantasize the crazed psychotic Screaming?

Ya`all's best be normal jerks, and`Bizarre!

`'Be Merry' he screams harshly: OY! s.t.h.u.

O. No easy for me to just lurk and hush up.

Blabber, jibber jabber, and hope no annoys.

An example to others: Germany's top policeman says that comparing the German federal police to the American FBI is defamatory

http://www.spiegel.de/international/germany/0,1518,590198,00.html

11/13/2008

Germany's lower house of parliament has approved a hotly debated law vastly expanding the surveillance capabilities of the federal police. [...]

[...] Among the measure's main backers is Interior Minister Wolfgang Schäuble -- known for his provocative, US-inspired anti-terror tactics [...]

[...] Following the vote, leaders from the major opposition parties were quick to repeat their long-standing opposition to the measure.

Renate Künast, the Green Party's parliamentary leader, told the eastern German public television station MDR that the measure was unconstitutional and accused Schäuble of wanting "to create a German FBI."

[...] In response to such accusations, Schäuble has responded [...] that it was unacceptable for people "to defame our liberal constitutional state to the point that young people think that the matter is related to something like what the Stasi would do." [...]
