Thanks, Iokannan in the Well ...

... I expected (and even feared, a little) a more volatile reaction.

Sure, the crooks will listen now, because they're temporarily satiated and smart enough to know when to lay low. And from any really objective perspective, Obama seems the perfect man to HELP them lay low and enjoy, undisturbed, their ill-gotten wealth.

I'm sorry, but I just can't get excited by, nor can I support, any candidate who shelves impeachment (let alone prosecution) for those who deserve it (and these scum deserve it more than 90% of those presently doing time in our penal institutions), or who plans on continuing the war spending. Is that an extreme attitude? I think I'm being simply rational.

A trillion dollar handout (and it will be much more) for the wealthy, but no universal health care for the most needy? My moral sense retches at such blatant inequity. I can't support band-aids as adequate treatment for gunshot wounds. How can anyone do so, unless they deeply blind themselves to the most obvious realities?

NYT... Hannity's BFF Martin

Looks like tomorrow's NYT is only a few days behind Glenn in exposing the notorious Andy Martin... The "journalist and author" behind the Obama/Muslim smears. We saw it here first.

Story at Daily Kos. (Sorry... I'm too lame to post links; not one of my "core competencies."

To me the report did seem a highly political product...

Perhaps a common ground found between the investigator and the stonewalling Republican machine, and the only way to do justice to the issue that he could find. Almost too perfectly, there is a portion of it which may be used to demonstrates Palin's outlaw style of management, and there is another which seems to vindicate her when completely removed from the context of the report. Thus, Democrats et. al, can say she was proven to violate ethics codes, while Palin herself can claim that she did nothing wrong. In effect a wash, which benefits the Republican party by default. If that's not a politically excreted document, then I don't know what is.

I. Want. To. Vomit.

When I'm done throwing up, I think I want to move to a country that's a little less dishonest about its corruption. Italy or Croatia maybe.

Right Wing Blogger: Imagine how great it would be to see NYTimes reporters getting targeted! . . . but that would be wrong of course

http://riehlworldview.com/carnivorous_conservative/2008/10/how-much-of-thi.html

Imagine a hard working, mostly white middle class marching on Washington wondering how this inept government destroyed the American dream, while an empty suit that happens to be black thinks he can simply take to a microphone and everything will be just fine. Face it, he has absolutely no experience of accomplishing anything significant beyond that.

There may indeed be blood in the streets before the current political and economic issues before the nation are resolved. But it won't have much of anything to do with Race, it'll be about the fundamental principles of this Republic a great many Americans are not prepared to give up without a serious fight.

And the rage won't just last days ... it could be a battle fought for years and not always without its victims. Can you imagine the look on the faces of the Obama-loving Ayres apologists at the New York Times when the bombs start exploding in their lobby, instead of the Pentagon?

I'm not advocating it, but I do fear some Americans probably can imagine it at this point. In fact, I have little doubt of it. And I can understand that rage, even if I wouldn't support such an action.

NYTimes story about Andy Martin *** on the front page of the dead tree edition

Fox News Channel [...] allowed Mr. Martin to assert falsely and without challenge that Mr. Obama had once trained to overthrow the government.

Of course, Fox News Channel has no intention to rile up a lynch mob.

THEY report.

Even Greenwald misses the point... Stonewalling works!

In his report, Branchflower said that he was unable to complete his investigation because ten named high level individuals, appointees in the Palin administration, refused to testify.

After she originally promised to cooperate, Sarah quickly set up a parallel "investigation" with a three member board, two of whom she appoints, and her Attorney General, a misfit, small-town workers comp lawyer. They "finished" their

"investigation" the day before Branchflower submitted his report and she exonerated herself through these surrogates.

Had Branchflower been able to interview all the principals, his results might have been markedly worse for the McSame campaign. Rather than submit to an interview, Todd Palin agreed to respond in writing to questions, with his answers carefully vetted by high power attorneys from Anchorge and New York and delivered too late to be incorporated into the report.

"Gov Palin violated [an ethics] act but didn't break the law", said a talking head.

Heard that Friday on the radio. The media dutifully laid covering fire for the GOP talking points. How can someone violate an "act" and not break the law? The talking head presented the talking point as if a law and a legal "act" were different things.

What's that smell? you hinting? stinkers are here? Dear Cocktailhag, Possums got human feeling too. The bath H2o is running... You lend out a bar of soap?

For John's early morn foul mood, how about a hot totter `Japanese `Sake` in a dirty jelly jar? After yesterday cookin', humans need No more sour dill pickles, and No more Alaskan red crab Psycho-rehab. Centers. Dear Pincher possums,

the menu for Sunday was too rich to consume.

What's that smell? A shote's head? rural cookin'

SHOTE's Head is a young fat hog head. Honest.

Alaskan's use a moose's skull? Scooped brain?

Shote's Head cooks scoop a hog brain clean out.

Boil Hog Head till tender. Porker lover people chow down in heart, liver, feet, minced tongue, and brains get slivered into tiny bite size chunks.

Seasoned it with sage, thyme, and herb leftovers.

Brown flower of any kind will, cat-sup thicken it.

Shote's Head dishes were culinary treats. A feast.

Shoat's Head Hog Heart was placed gently right dab in the middle of the dish, and road kill possum's chopped liver surrounded the dead heart.

Shoat's Head Heart should pump-up and rile bodies.

Shoat's Head dish is said to be tender porker's meat.

Smells good, I's heard it. I never chow down on hogs. Cocktailhag. Drink vodka and ketchup?
