Rick Davis can't tell the truth about the flat and round

When she joined our campaign this [Troopergate] became a big public circus. And, frankly, everyone in Alaska has treated it as such.--Rick Davis

Then how come Palin's approval rating dropped from an astronomical 82% down to, by late September, 68%? What do you think will become of that number now? Is that drop in her rating because no one in Alaska was taking it seriously? And now that she has been proven to have abused her power will her polls in Alaska drop even more, Rick? And do you think your bald faced lies on national TV, and Palin's bald faced lies to her constituents is going to help keep her ratings from dropping into the dumpster?

Todd Palin

Just imagine. If by some quirk in the Universe McPalin is elected we'll have Todd whispering in Sarah's ear.

Keeping in mind Todd's past associations, this is totally possible, and unacceptable.

Small Acorns Grow Into Mighty Oaks

shooter 242 returns to the fray: "There's no doubt that it was a dastardly lie of biblical proportions to say there was no finding of wrongdoing. It is only a miracle of fates that the earth didn't stop spinning and all things on it didn't fly off into space."

'Taint the point. Abuse of power. She used her position as a public official to try and phawk someone for personal reasons. The guy might be a total dickhead, but when you use public resources for a personal vendetta, nope, not acceptable. Vindictiveness runs deep in America, but it has no place in the Guvner's office.

"It's not like she got money from Fannie and Freddie like Dodd, or is being investigated for mob bank ties, like Obama, or had a lover run a brothel of his house like Frank."

Oh yeah, well you forgot the Keating Five . . . . Jaysus shooter, someone gets caught being less than honest, and you folks (did I mention vindictive already??) have to come back with, "Well, you guys are worser. Besides, Jimmy called me a poopy-head first . . . nyuk nyuk nyuk."

shooter feebly continues, wiping the traces of tossed feces from his hands: "No, Palin committed the unforgivable sin of protecting her sister from a not very nice guy. Obviously there is no punishment too harsh for such a transgression of the public trust. Maybe you guys should put together a lynch mob. Heh."

Tsk, the arguments get feebler and less lucid. If she's gonna be a small town tyrant, and abuse power so pitifully, what'll she be like when (and if) she goes big time. Haven't we had enough of these people over the past 50 or so years???

Palin's Pathology

Ok, I'll bite, Shoots:

As for Palin, Would anyone like to explain what it was that Palin got out of the deal? How was SHE benefiting from this?

Here's the thing about Palin's pathology, which is along the lines of the typical malignant narcissistic personality modus operandi: she wanted to *punish* Wooten. She and her husband had a vendetta. They didn't care about the consequences, they didn't care if it appeared improper or unprofessional. They were out for blood. They wanted to run him out of town. They didn't give a rat's azz about the children involved, or whether they were making things worse by having Wooten lose his livelihood. They wanted him GONE. I wouldn't be surprised to find out some day that Todd Palin had investigated hiring a hit man or ruminated cutting Wooten's brake lines (that particular prank may run in the family), or having someone stage a tragic hunting "accident" or drowning while fishing. It would not surprise me at all if that still came to pass in the future and we read about it on page C16.

It wasn't enough that Sarah's sister Molly divorced him (and by all accounts, Wooten was probably a jerk, a reckless hothead, an alcoholic and thrice married with a history that would fill three weeks' worth of Jerry Springer shows, but why did Molly marry him in the first place? That's a question for another discussion, but I digress...) he had to be PUNISHED.

Sarah is like that character "Mother Nature" in the old Imperial Margarine commercials who throws her hands up and says, "It's not nice to fool with Mother Nature!!" followed by a thunderbolt.

She's a vindictive, malicious, myopic control freak.

You see, malignant narcissists don't think about consequences. They think they are *above* the law. They think they can do whatever they want and get away with it. Certainly Palin thought she was immune from any oversight and above reproach.

The point is, she didn't get him fired because she had no power over the Union that was protecting Wooten. Wooten was reprimanded by his superiors and that's all they could do under their contract at the time. She wasn't satisfied with that, so she went over their heads with Monegan. When Monegan wouldn't cooperate, it was Off With His Head!

Judging by the now available history of Palin from her earliest days as May'r a' Wasilla, her chauvinist nature and megalomaniac tendencies are now legendary.

Yeah!

All the better to distance ones self from an embarrassingly feeble allegation regarding non-existing "lynch mobs". -- shooter242

No distance needed or wanted here. Read and respond to my comment post regarding trespass and vandalism Friday night at my friend's house in the Milwaukee area. The Obama sign burning post.

As for Palin, Would anyone like to explain what it was that Palin got out of the deal? How was SHE benefiting from this? One can certainly argue that her family was the beneficiary of an effort to can Wooten, but Palin? -- shooter242

Most people, herself included, would likely argue that Palin is a member of her own family and that any benefit which accrues to them accrues to her as well.

There's no doubt that it was a dastardly lie of biblical proportions to say there was no finding of wrongdoing. -- shooter242

Now, now. It's more a characteristic expression of contempt for the little guy who lacks her political insider connections.

Palin committed the unforgivable sin of protecting her sister from a not very nice guy. -- shooter242

By getting him fired? So that he can't make child support payments? How is this protective? By setting him up so that he'll be denied visitation on the grounds of non-payment due to economic duress?
He sounds like a total prick... but then the whole family does. Do you want her to bring her Peyton Place familial soap opera into the OVP?
