John McCain's unprecedentedly ugly speech today

The increasingly petty and ugly attacks on Barack Obama by a desperate, dying movement are a microcosm of the last eight years.

I wonder about those minority mortgages

I was watching Bill Maher a couple of weeks ago when he had Ralph Nader on and a reporter from New Republic(I think) and she brought out the minority mortgage bit and Nader hit her back saying nah un, the minorities were the best at paying their mortgages back. I wonder where you find the data about that, wouldn't it be helpful to smack all those GOPers with the no, sorry the poor colored people were actually doing what they were supposed to.

I do wonder how many mortgages that have been forclosed on were the ones bought by housing flippers. Did that have anything to do with the bubble, buying a house, making a few amenity improvements then selling it at a fair profit? Now forclosing because marble counter tops and extra bathrooms aren't really driving people to spend hundreds of thousands of extra dollars?

As for McCain and his nasty speeches, well I hope Obama and Biden hear them and stop saying how much they like and respect John McCain during interviews and debates. Stop respecting someone who would rip you in half with distortions and lies.
