    A Spiritual Battle

It has become clear that there may be a larger, more universally altering purpose for this election.

What began as an ideological clash, then morphed into a generational clash, has now become a spiritual battle.

While reporters and pundits argue over the superficialities of personality and polls, and networks capitalize on the ratings and revenue generated by their coverage; as voters argue in web forums, living rooms and office water coolers and debate the tedious details, the battle lines are being drawn.

Where you align yourself may have eternal consequences.

The gulf between good and evil, truth and fiction, intellectual integrity and manipulative distortion has widened irrevocably. With every new smear campaign characterizing Obama as frightening and dangerous, it feels as if the powers of darkness are snuffing out the light.

The underlying malignant tone of this election, like a modulating bass line beneath the dissonant melody of the media sound bites, serves sometimes only to etherizes hope.

But, I think this is a test of who we really are. What we are willing to do to make it happen. Quit bitching and take action! Do everything you can. I am trying my damndest.

I know Good will triumph over Evil, as millions of witnesses across the world observe the outcome of this election and are reaffirmed in their convictions. Trust that there is a higher order to the universe.
