In that link there was this: "The CPPA expanded the definition of child pornography to include “any visual depiction” that “is, or appears to be, of a minor engaging in sexually explicit conduct.” I couldn't make out if that was passed or if it was part of what was struck down in :April 2002, the Court struck down two provisions of the 1996 Child Pornography Prevention Act in Ashcroft v. Free Speech Coalition
If it was a law, could they have gotten him on that rather than obscenity?

You said: "I've read that it would be extremely hard to actually bust a pornographer of this type with rape or abuse, because the general interpretation is that the girl knows what she's getting into and it gets sketchy since she's being paid." But couldn't they turn this around and say that they men were being paid for being soldiers or spies? And that by participating in that line of work, they were in essence asking for it?
