    Your observations are right on and forcefully expressed. I just have to comment on this, however:

    They reelected Shrub in 2004 didn't they?

    Bush got a lot more votes in 2004 than any thinking American should be comfortable with. However, the evidence is in and it strongly suggests that Bush did not win the 2004 election, especially in Ohio.

    And before folks here climb up on their American exceptionalism high horse ("that could never happen in America") and pull out the tin-foil put downs, please spend just an hour reviewing the evidence, including:
