I think the Obama campaign is actually wise not to wade into a full debate of the Bush Doctrine,
When I say they should, I mean to do so in a politically palatable way -- not with esoteric, doctrinal points that would be of interest to a small number of high-information voters, but instead, by scaring Americans with the (accurate) claim that putting McCain into the White House will ensure the start of new, extremely dangerous, bankruptcy-inducing wars that need not be fought - just like the Bush/McCain Iraq War did.
I don't mean to phrase debates in terms of "Is the Bush Doctrine correct?" I mean that depicting McCain as a reckless warmonger is a good political strategy.
