The GOP's cheerful viciousness

Yet again, the GOP launches brutal personality and cultural attacks on the Democratic candidate. Yet again, Democrats seem determined to allow it to do so.

    Kairos

You said, responding to my comment re, Where is Hillary?: ..."she is not is on the ticket where I assume many of you wanted her to be. You need to recall it's Obama/Biden...where are they?"

First, why would you assume I was a Hillary supporter, just because my name shows I am a woman? I was never a Hillary supporter. With reservations, I have supported Obama.

Second, I do recall it's Obama/Biden. It's just that they are weighing in gingerly to avoid being labeled sexist.

Hillary does not have this constraint. In fact, Palin has referred to Hillary several times in a transparent attempt to woo Hillary's supporters. Hillary therefore has a right and an obligation to respond to this political calculation and to undercut it. But so far she hasn't; she has even expressed (faint) praise for Palin. She needs to (pant) suit up, and take the imposter on. It will be good for her political future and it will be the right thing to do.
