The GOP's cheerful viciousness

Yet again, the GOP launches brutal personality and cultural attacks on the Democratic candidate. Yet again, Democrats seem determined to allow it to do so.

Here is some more news out of Iraq, which reveals what Bush & Cheney were after from the start:

British and US companies win Iraq oil contracts

"The Iraqi government is to award a series of key oil contracts to British and US companies later today, fuelling criticism that the Iraq war was largely about oil."

"The successful companies are expected to include Shell, BP, Exxon Mobil, Chevron and Total."

As far as Iraqi public opinion on the U.S. presence there? They want us gone, which is also what all the U.S. soldiers there say as well.

Who wants us to stay? Oh, Exxon, Bechtel, Halliburton, Chevron, ConocoPhillips, Shell, BP - plus all the agricultural and telecommunications and finance corporations that are looking to seize control of the wealth that flows from those oil fields - that was the CPA - Paul Bremer - Dick Cheney plan from the start.

There were no biological or nuclear weapons in Iraq - it was nothing but a load of lies cooked up by neocons with the aid of the British.

Or would someone care to refute that?
