It has also changed from a bail hearing to an arraignment.
Michael J. Garcia, the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, announced today the indictment of Aafia Siddiqui on charges related to her attempted murder and assault of United States nationals and officers and employees. Siddiqui is scheduled to be arraigned on the Indictment on Thursday, September 4, 2008, at 11:30 a.m. by United States District Judge Richard M. Berman in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.
In case anyone might be able to be there.
Of course, she is little, brown, South Asian, Muslim, and doesn't have a Masters in Criminal Justice. Most likely that means she is guilty and they had the right to shoot her.
But if you think that maybe she isn't getting total justice, and you do happen to be in New York, maybe you could drop by. Be aware that they are changing the court time and date and purpose roughly two times a day right now.
Now back to your regularly scheduled program.
What do we normally do with predators who assault and kidnap people?-- adnoto
I'll share a "terrorist fist bump" with you for that post, Adnoto.;o)
Do not interfere with, or obstruct the police -- you can be arrested for it.You get the idea...
A little further down there must be an exception for protestors, anarchists and communists and typical asshats
-- L.W.M
And who decides what "interference" and/or "obstruction" are? You see the problem numb-nuts?
I am really glad you are showing your true colors here these past few days LWM. I truly am. It is such a relief to know that your credibility is completely shot with all the true liberals and libertarians that might read these pages. It is a small victory but a victory none-the-less.
If everyone is not yet doing so, and I presume you are, reposting revealing this information everywhere quickly - this will assist those who want to share in the freedom to speak, as only lots of exposure can help abuse from proliferating in the shadows.
I just reposted GG's article on la.indymedia.org for Los Angeles, plus another blog or two. Congressional Letter- writing is less effective than this blaring openly & loudly everywhere discriminately - to be sure nothing can be 'overlooked' or 'denied' or ignored. And if any facts are later not so exactly reported by high-funded corp-medias later, it dont matter none, as the cry has already been delivered - been screamed into this catcher's net.
Thanks to all who provide us this hidden view of the *fear* that the police, their owners and buyers, and the convention-business owners must have -for them to attempt such harsh tactics.[and probably illegal ]
Thanks to Glenn and all those who further comment on this, as each exposed e-letter adds to the pile to make the story further visible- and there are more than devoted Saloner types. I hope each person also sends their own letter to all their contacts as "info" with pride and to encourage more open speak-up-and-out.
Yep, dump that old TV and the fake movies that pretend this US of Anger & Intimidation is laughing and smiling and just selling stuff. This place is the preferred instantaneous resource - it is my lifeline now. no need for digitalizing TV more, just give us the truth as you know it.in this net.
When we activists are pressured, we react in BOTH ways - we get scared but we also get reactive and rebellious, so the Powerful use of hard tactics also have strong unintended consequences-- we just get braver, angrier and more active in some other ways - not just cringe, crawl, cry or vote. yep. gotta. If everyone is not yet doing so, I presume you are, reposting this information everywhere quickly will assist as only exposure can help abuse from proliferating in the shadows.

"Second was the large anti-war march led by Iraq Veterans Against the War. Again, zero coverage of that by Glenn Greenwald & friends."
Glenn Greenwald:
I already explained this. I'm being paid to suppress news reports of their involvement in the march, as - I suspect is Amy Goodman. Besides that, I have a hidden agenda that is advanced by making sure that that part of the march is blacked out, so of course I'm not going to report it. That's pretty obvious - nothing mysterious about it.
Okay - that's sort of funny, but misses the fact that you were there to report on what was happening, and you completely ignored two of the major events.
Try being serious for a second. Aren't war and the economy two of the major issues facing the public right now? Shouldn't news reporters be closely following protests related to such stories - isn't that what the public wants to know about?
Vietnam Vets protesting against McCain'service record, as noted before, doesn't deal at all with the situation in Iraq and Afghanistan today.
Why do you think it is that DN! doesn't allow the public to comment on their stories, either? And why do you think DN! took $150,000 from the Ford Foundation, at the same time that ACLU was refusing the money because of attached "anti-terrorism provisions."
What do you think the Ford Foundation policy is on global trade - say, the agreement set up by the Coalition Provisional Authority in Iraq? Generally supportive of the neoliberal/neoconservative economic platform, aren't they?
