Massive police raids on suspected protesters in Minneapolis

Several "hippie homes" are raided this morning by semi-automatic-weapon-wielding police squads.

The letters thread is now closed.

massive police raids

When one thinks of erosion it brings to mind the gradual geological processes that form such natural wonders a the Grand Canyon.

Today, civil rights are not being eroded, they are being washed away like sandcastles on a beach by an incoming tide. Shame is that many of our youngsters weren't around in the late 1930's when Herr Adolph employed identical tactics.

raids against demcracy

I think there is paranoia running rampant amongst the law enforcement agnecies of this nation and and effort to make everybody who gathers in protest appear to be terrorists akin to all-Qaeda and the like, when in fact the terrorists are our own police, FBI, et al, who are doing the terrorizing against dissent, protest and the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. The mainstream media has failed to report this and the media that does report these illegal police actions, premptive police actions are targeted by the police. This is tyranny not democracy and to show you how much the Democrats and Republicans favor such policy action is seen by their lack of reaction against such policy action and brutality and intimidation against the Constitution and Freedom.

I Offer the Following Bit of Dialogue to Any Protester/Activist Who Would Like to Use It.

Excuse me, officer, but do you have a grandfather? Did you have a grandfather? Did he fight in World War II? I only ask because if he did see combat in World War II he was shooting, strafing or bombing men just like you. Kind of ironic, don't you think??

re adnoto and a few others

we sure hope ya'll are gettin all the attention you want and deserve, if anything you say merits a positive response, that is.

the signs and signals you give off is to provoke others - by being angry, oh so manly, and proudly aggressive while hoping someone will focus on your words and give you some more meaning in life, or a purpose maybe?

I am one of those who you are not: " you pussies" was your version of an insult, was it ?

and since you dont contribute to the lifeline of humans except by accident,[you never do know for sure, do you ? ] I guess kittens and female gendered types are the only ones who really count in this weird world you live in. We do give birth to what makes more of humanity, wanted or not. And some of have more than 1 gun to shoot, the metallic kind, I mean.

And dont you see as many women bravely 'protesting' and female activists working for a better world? It is not at all limited to the male mentality or training or conditioning either. So why be so proud of not being a woman ? I dont comprehend this = Women even join in the self-exploded suicide-homicide doings and even build explosives, but in other cities, no? Or is doing violence and death only a man's prerogative?

A 'real man' does not define himself as better or different than his mother or wife or female-lover or the species that does more work without pay [including helping the mentally sick as well as others].

A real man shows his caring, courage, intelligence, and cooperative side to form communities, to create in the arts, to contribute in any field [land or intellectual/work arena] and he does not put down any other human who have not actually physically attacked and harmed him. If your mother has done so, then please let us know, so we can sympathize with excuse for your rage and your brand of advertising yourself.

Is this enough reaction and attention for ya’ all ? enjoy it.

may we all learn from each other's weaknesses and ploys.

@ shooter242, not only adnoto, but maybe...so

my mistake on who wrote the " pussies" insult comment,

It was one but the similar tone of manliness has often been in the forefront in these posts as well, as if men were in the center of everything important.[highly presumptive, but we women have learned to just let 'them' mistakenly presume....]

I apologize to adnoto for ID'g you first. Though your tone sounds similar.... and I had to research my way back to where I read the intentionally hateful disrespect, in between all these other more informative posts.

Let's all play fair and not just vent here against each other.

It is the excess law-enforcement-abuse that is the issue, not

different-opinions and odd personalities we should be against.

sorry. I jumped 'the gun' too, before double-checking.
