Ivins Suicide.

There's a lot to be suspicious about this case, but I think the one thing that's not odd is Ivins suicide. He apparently did have some kind of mental illness, he apparently did have some issues around depression and anxiety, he was being hounded by the FBI, and I assume that they had probably were going to make a lot of very, very embarrassing information that had nothing to do with criminal acts, public. Not to mention, at sixty two, he was no spring chicken either--we're not talking about someone taking their life in the prime of their life. Having all this happen late in life, might present anyone with a very difficult scenario of trying to right the wreck of one's life--loss of status, job, and stability--with only a decade or two left.

But I wanted to ask this question again: What is an attorney's fiduciary responsibility to a client once that client is dead. Are the attorneys in this case acting solely out of a strong belief, or are they required to still work on Ivins behalf? Anyone?

Markov - Towards a Neoconservative Dictatorship and Police State

Markov - the neoconservatives have made their intentions, plans and agenda explicit in literally thousands of papers and articles from their think tanks and in their journals for decades. They have dominated and continue to dominate the Bush 43 administration. This is the larger political reality that frames the 9/11 anthrax attacks case and the exploitation of 9/11 -- the "New Pearl Harbor" in PNAC speak. Neocons in key positions are now trying to shut down and bury the 9/11 anthrax attacks case forever.

This is the incredible irony: according to the FBI's own account, a Christian Zionist -- NOT a Muslim fundamentalist -- was responsible for framing Muslims for the 9/11 anthrax attacks! So far the mainstream media have failed to discuss the most important aspect of the case. The 9/11 anthrax attacks were used by neoconservatives and Christian Zionists to whip up a frenzy of hatred against Islam and to launch an invasion and occupation of Iraq that is costing Americans several trillions of dollars and the loss of their good reputation around the world.

@ondelette

Then the 2:15 time spent in the lab doesn't look suspicious, but the actual 4:00 time logged makes a good alibi for a trip to Princeton (in a very fast car).

I think the time stamps are electronically collected, and you can't enter or leave the building without yielding one of these (e.g., the door won't open).

Additional Info to Consider

Thank you for your extraordinary work. I came across some interesting additional info that might be pertinent.

One post is an open letter to Former US Senator Tom Daschle Regarding The FBI's Bogus Anthrax Inquiry, from Dr. Leonard G. Horowitz, who identifies himself as "a leading anthrax mailings investigator, whistleblower, and at one point an FBI suspect in this bioterrorist attack that included an attempt on your life."

It was posted yesterday (8/6/08) by someone named Annie Burke following an article in USA Today:

http://blogs.usatoday.com/oped/2008/08/governments-ant.html#more

Another blogger who identifies herself as a former PHD chemist and professor in biochemistry and goes by h_nicole_young has several posts broken down into parts that evaluate the FBI's documents following another article in USA TODAY that can be found here:

http://www.usatoday.com/news/nation/2008-08-06-anthrax-investigation_N.htm

While I can't attest to the veracity of these people or these posts, they raise some interesting and compelling information that may prove valuable. Good luck.

@macgupta

Umm...I was kidding. But not about Dr. Jekyll and the framing.

BTW, did you get my earlier post? Have you been following the other FBI imbroglio, the Aafia Siddiqui case?

Ivins' whereabouts 9/17/02 - 9/18/02 - wife could exonerate?

According to the afffidavits released, the window of opportunity for mailing the letter used in the first attack was 5:00 am Monday the 17th through Noon Tuesday the 18th.

Let's assume that Irvins had 320 round trip miles to drive to get to the mailbox in NJ and back, and would have needed roughly 8 hours to do so.

Putting this together, it means Ivins either missed work or worked unusually short hours one of those days, or was absent from home for an unusually long period of time.

I'm assuming that if he had been away from work either the 17th or 18th or had logged in or out at unusual times those days the affidavits would have noted that. So I'm going to assume that Ivins work his normal hours both days.

Obviously, Mrs. Ivins can't be compelled to testify against her husband. However, if she can confirm that he came home promptly from work the 17th and didn't leave the house until he drove to work the next morning, that would at least exonerate Ivins as the lone perp for the first attack.

Yes...

We've all seen The Andromeda Strain now, and other Hollywood blockbusters. The problem is there are likely places where this is the case. Maybe Fort Knox, but don't count on it being at places like this or Lawrenece Livermore Lab or even Dugway. It should be that kind of security but this is The Bush Admin. To be honest, I don't know how it is done but don't be shocked if and when you find out it isn't done that way there.

Fanzone

My initial thougts are that you are a conservative hack trying to make this site look like a conspiracy minded nutfest. The letter you linked to mentioned the word CONSPIRACY in all caps within the first paragraph, the website of the poster in question is for a "natural healer" and "prophet", who seems like a really big kook (there is a photo of him holding an owl on his arm). This is your first and only posting herein. You may in fact be the poster in question.

So. If I were readers here, I would ignore your post.

Lots of questions

Taylor described Ivins as "a prolific letter-writer," who often sent mail under assumed names and from post office boxes. Taylor said Ivins mailed more than 68 letters to Congress and media organizations alone, the two targets of the deadly letters sent through the mail.

http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=93364738

Because a lot of us send letters to Congress and the media and we aren't the anthrax mailer I'd love to know what was in Ivin's letters. Perhaps using an assumed name was his way of being able to criticize without placing his career in jeopardy. For instance, a lot of people on the internet use assumed names to write critical commentary that might jeopardize their jobs if they were to use their own names.

Did his letters make sense? Were they rambling, threatening letters or were they whistleblower type letters? Which people in Congress and the media received these letters? Could he possibly have mailed hard copy letters so that it would be harder for the Bush spies in NSA to link them to him using their electronic surveilance? Were the letters hand written or typed? If handwritten perhaps we could check the handwriting against the anthrax mailings. Were there more than 68 letters and the FBI is only giving us partial info? I think there are a lot of questions still remaining to be answered on just this one tidbit from the FBI.
