On privileges

Doctors, lawyers, journalists, priests and psychologists all talk about privilege. Always this talk is framed around the client. Make no mistake, the client can certainly benefit from this privilege, but it is often overlooked that the main beneficiary is the seller of services.

As a client I can shop for these services* outside of the guild, but as a provider, privilege gives me a state sanctioned benefit not available to providers outside the guild--legal protection of client data in the hands of third parties.

With this in mind, the idea of absolute privilege is absurd. That any professional has an obligation to conceal their own good faith belief, based upon facts, that a client will kill himself and/or others is the ultimate elevation of provider over client.

Guild professionals would do well to consider and publicly acknowledge their own financial benefits in this arrangement when advocating privilege.

* This does not apply in situations where the state can force my use of these services and can limit by law who can offer them.

Public victims and prosecution gone off the tracks...

Anyone remember the great 'Olympic Park bombing'?

No?

  • Remember the guy that the feds said 'did it'.
  • Remember the rush to judgment and the calls for the gallows...
  • Remember how it took a rather long time for him to be 'cleared'?
  • Remember how long people held grudges and swore that the officials had made a mistake?
  • Remember how many people said that he had to be the one...
  • Remember his broken and busted life?

Remember Richard Jewell?

He's dead now (44). Did the stress help do him in? It didn't help I'm sure.

The rush to judgment is common and can and often is dead wrong. But the publics thirst for blood and a perpetrator is paramount to keep the issue in the news or to get it out of the news.

Did Jewell deserve what he got? No but how many people get chewed up in the 'kangaroo court of public opinion'? Of course now made worse by the false piety of the new 'opinion based' news media we have today. In this day of totally fabricated news, there are likely many victims, and no laugh track.

How many have heard 'What Would You Do?' from Paris (Not THAT Paris). Check out 'Sonic Jihad' and that song. The beginning is priceless.

Privilege

A reason to be careful about how to legally grant journalistic privileges is that the MSM always insists that they are journalists and bloggers are tacky nerds in pajamas typing away in their mom's basements. Come to think of it, they'll probably be happy to have real journalists licensed by the government to keep those crummy bloggers from trashing their place, as Sally called it.

OMG - Greenwald, you better have an undisclosed location yourself pal, BTW-Sandy Berger.

Destroyed evidence?

Why does Nancy Polesi keep impeachment OFF the table?

This is so awful, this is so awful.

The Pilots for 9/11 Truth is an organization of aviation professionals and pilots throughout the globe who have gathered together for one purpose. We are committed to seeking the truth surrounding the events of the 11th of September 2001. Our main focus concentrates on the four flights, maneuvers performed and the reported pilots. We do not offer theory or point blame at this point in time. However, we are focused on determining the truth of that fateful day based on solid data and facts -- since 9/11/2001 is the catalyst for many of the events shaping our world today -- and the United States Government doesn't seem to be very forthcoming with answers or facts.

We stand with the Scholars, Veterans and Architects & Engineers for Truth along side family members of the victims -- family members of soldiers who have made the ultimate sacrifice -- including the many Ground Zero workers who are now ill or have passed away, when we ask for a true, new independent investigation into the events of 9/11. We do not accept the 9/11 Commission Report and/or "hypothesis" as a satisfactory explanation for the sacrifice every American has made and continues to make -- some more than others.

Thank you for taking the time to inform yourself.

- pilotsfor911truth.org

Professional pilots were saying that 9/11 could not be accomplished without tracking devices on the planes, themselves that hit those towers.

The letters from North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) say that they were informed about terrorist planes attacks - and yet were told to stand by, stand down.

And what about Richard Clarke, told to lie about WHO was behind 9/11, to make it look like Saddam Hussian instead of bin Laden - Bush ASKED Richard Clarke to LIE and tell us it was Saddam, even when it was Bin Laden that was at fault.

Then Sandy Berger destroy original evidence in 9/11 commission report - crap report that it was.

And what about the maps in Dick Cheney's Energy Task Force Meeting - those maps dividing up Iraq oilfields that Slate.com exposed, that maps dividing up the oilfields of Iraq BEFORE 9/11? Saddam, at the time, would NOT GIVE any Western oil contractors any oil contracts in Iraq. The ONLY way the US could get other national contracts voided was to invade Iraq and KILL Saddam. The ONLY Way to do that was KIll about bunch of innocent Americans in mock 9/11 terrorist attack.

I was a fucking inside job. Bush and Cheney KILLED all those people.

Pinky on Jewell:

Anyone remember the great 'Olympic Park bombing'?

No?

Remember Richard Jewell?

-- Pinky

Yes, I remember Richard Jewell. Aside from the FBI's trumped up case I remember the media writing up story after story that were written to make Jewell look like some sick, wannabe-cop. I recall very rarely, if ever, reading a story that gave the guy any real benefit of the doubt. It was all fun and games and high dudgeon, let's drag the kook-guy through the mud, gutter journalism all day every day on the Richard Jewell beat.

this is -

one of the most amazing stories i have read lately and it would make such a thrilling movie, that you all should make a concentrated effort to get it to Hollywood. I have watched a pitching session before - and could help to fix some of the ‘holes’ in the story and if Will Smith would agree to play the role of Glenn, as the investigating journalist it might be as big as a succes as ‘Enemy of the State’.

Okay - lets try to pitch!

It is after 911 and we have this anthrax letters (supposedly) from some nasty Arabs

and these letters kill people - and there is panic and there are these Journalists, who got ‘these sources’, who told them that there is some x which proves, that the anthrax

is from Irak and then the ‘Rightwingers’ use this information as an additional reason

to go to war - But then – surprise surprise - we find out that the anthrax isn’t at all from Irak, but from some ‘Homeland Institute’ and there are rumors, that the same people

who send the poison probably also were the sources, who informed the Journalists.

This is evil – and I really feel for the families of the victims.

But if you gals and guys want to get a decent script out it (i see you are trying hard) - you really have to make sure, that these Journalists were not the average lazy and stupid ones, who believe every idiot who stumbles their way. And you also have to make sure, that the (or these) criminals, who sent the anthrax, are not just your garden variety of American Psychos. It HAS to be a big fat conspiracy or Will Smith will not play the leading role - Or

as my father uses to say (and i love to quote my father) ‘Smart people have a hard time considering stupidity’. That’s why a lot of intelligent people still believe Bush had thoughts and they are very perceptive to Conspiracy Theories.

So – for your script you need als a real smart evildoers – the Hannibal Lector type - and only

then your story will work!
