When Jean Duley filed her peace order, The Smoking Gun has the copy, she mentions Ivins is going to be indited for 5 murders. So before her even testifying to the grand jury, she knew it's intentions. Perhaps Ivins told her, perhaps someone else. It is not clear when she wrote it but the hearing was on the 24th. She says she was working closely with the FBI but most everyone else seem to be in the dark.

They have her peace order testimony as an mp3 file in the NYTimes article. She calls Ivins a revenge murderer that has tried to kill people before. You get a quite different picture of Ivins than from his co-workers and neighbors. She said he bought a gun and vest and was going to kill his co-workers in a blaze of glory. That lead to his being committed. Ultimately, he got out and nothing was done except bar him from Fort Detrick.

The NYTimes has a timeline of anthrax articles and there seems to be differing stories about the potency of the anthrax. Sometimes it is weapons grade and in one later article it mentions that it may be greatly attenuated such as vaccine grade!

The weapons grade story reported that it had silica to prevent clumping and that there were a trillion spores per gram. That would kill, under the right conditions, a 100 million people. What scientist would put two grams in each letter?

If an attenuated anthrax was used, it might simply make people sick, possible with lesions or perhaps no lesions at all but the anthrax would be detectable. It is doubtful anyone thought the post offices would become contaminated. The people that died came in contact with the cross contamination. No one died from the letters that we know of. It might be a dirty trick that went out of control. No one wants to associated with it for obvious reasons because it became fatally out of control and not just an excuse to disseminate false information.

Perhaps Ivins was involved in an official capacity and felt he was a fall guy, maybe he handed off the stuff to someone else, officially. For what was reported from his co-workers, he wasn't particularly interested in the letters returned to the lab or the investigation. He didn't work with powders unless the vaccines were powders. Usually in discovery you work with liquids and leave it to the manufacturing people to formulate final products. They were having problems producing the vaccine in large scale.

Ivins doesn't seem to have a motive. Someone mentioned patents but those are signed over to your employer. They are paying you to discover.

There is a very strange disconnect between the fact that Ivins was barred from Fort Detrick because of the threats he had made toward coworkers and the stated belief by many coworkers that he was innocent and they were shocked at the news.

- Were the employees at Fort Detrick advised that Ivins had made violent threats against them and that he had been banned from the property?

- If they were advised of that fact but still contend he was innocent then it may be logical to assume they believe the psychiatric evidence against Ivins is not reliable and he is being set up as a fall guy.

There are so many thing about this whole affair that do not make sense. Nobody is acting logically considering the offered facts.

Has anyone analyzed Ivin's handwriting and compared it to the note(s) inside the envelopes and the addresses on the envelopes? Maybe I read too many Nancy Drew books when I was a kid, but that's what I'd look at. That and drag ABC, Brian Ross, Richard Cohen, etc. in to explain who their sources were.

This information is real, and I'm posting under my real name. If you knew the depth of Media infiltration? ...You would know

this is the far bigger story than Anthrax.

Of the 150 to 200 "Professional" Contacts I had involving Prostitution and Narcotics, no less than 80 of those contacts have been given new identities, and have been placed in Key Positions of the Media and Local Government.

This is an affront not only to Our Country's Constitution and a Free Press, it directly involves Our Country in the Trafficking and Slavery of Humans.

They hold these people hostage with their pasts. A past in which the Government profited from, and required them to transport these individuals across State lines to engage in these illegal acts. That includes some subjects that were minors.

For what it's worth, NBC TV's Pete Williams on the evening news speculated that if it wasn't for money it could have been done for professional prestige. He also said that the post marks on the letter definitely came from a post office only blocks from Ivin's home. Of course someone trying to make him the next fall guy, could easily have used that same post office.
