Cheney took him duck hunting and there was an awful incident.
It's possible, acetaminophen can be toxic. Narcotics, even one as mild as codeine can give a hell of a whack to the un-acclimatized (I've seen that) as well as potentiate other CNS depressants.
But if somebody asked me, I would have said it was really hard.
ABC didn't like my second comment, they are not posting it.
Me: Mr. Ross, Please describe to your readers which kind of 'Patriot' you are.
Was I rude?
So it wasn't an unscheduled hunting trip?
All I can say is, I hope it is true, about OD'ing on Tylenol 3.
If not, what a firkin final insult to the poor schlmazel! If they said that about me, I'd be so mad I'd come back to life and insist on an autopsy!
It's like dieing from a cold, as those things go.
Of course, that is the question, isn't it? Was he the schlemiel or the schlamazel?
But then that's always the question, isn't it? I need to go work on my gown. Miss Creant will make a fabulous entrance!
Ondelette's post @2:46 really points out the need for a good time line of the events here.
I will start to put together something after I finish a few things but if people want to throw out important events with the date and time as specific as possible, along with a link to the source material that would help a lot.
I will start--
- On July 24, he was released from the facility, operated by Sheppard Pratt Health System.

Blew my mind. After reading this posting, something very dangerous has happened, and will continue to happen. Insiders were told about a very specific bio-threat (could have been anything right?), and the exact counter measures to take against it, all before the actual attack!!!!!!
For me, suddenly the things I have read abot 9-11 and the anthrax attacks seem to have cogent theme to tie alot of them together. I used to dismiss alot of things I read, but now... High government officials told not to fly commerical before 9-11. FBI field agents stonewalled over warrants for certain Arabs at flight schools. Bush and Cheney seriously discussing false flag operations to initiate war against Iraq and Iran. DOJ officials afraid they were being wiretapped, and Bush asking telcoms before 9-11 to spy on Americans. Justin Rainmode of antiwar.com offering the observation soon after
9-11 that the conspirators seemed at times to have guardian angels rather than pure luck. While the anthrax letters spewing anti-Semitism, no highly visible Jews in government were targeted--rather liberal Senate leadership.
The trajectory is clear--some of the details are wrong. Ivins I am convinced was innocent. Focusing on an innocent guy leads away from the trail of those who did it, and those who knew about it. But Glenn's trail appears to be correct--somebody in the government did in fact supply the anthrax, and the attack was pushed and shaped by somebody in the government also.
Hatfill was lucky he wasn't suicided!
Why was there this wild, continual attack on Hatfill, along with press leaks and practically a posse of papparazzi following him?
Seems as if all the time (according to current stories) Ivins was a suspect? And if Ivins had the sociopathic and homicidal tendencies, why was he allowed such a high position and security clearance?
I also see no (but I havent read ALL of the 500 letters) mention of the strange coincidence with the attack on Sens. Leahy & Daschle and the fact that they were the two who could have stopped the "Patriot Act" that they were known to disfavor.
There are a few good sources onthe scientific and forensic details of the anthrax attacks: the first is a Gary Matsumoto article published in Science Magazine and available here: http://cryptome.org/anthrax-powder.htm
The author has also writen a book about the Army anthrax vaccine program. The Army anthrax vaccination progam has two lead contractors, Emergent Biosolutions and Vaxgen(defunct), both of whom rely on the same large "non-profit" corporation for all manufacturing: Battelle Memorial Institute, the nation's largest private research facility, with management contracts for several nuclear labs (Oak Ridge, etc.) and research facilities, including Dugway Proving Ground Utah, and a West Jefferson facility as well - and they are also now the lead private contractors at Detrick itself, charged with operating the National Institute for Allegens and Infectious Diseases, as of 2005-2006. They are private contractors who mainly work on U.S. biowarfare and nuclear research initiatives. They have pulled in about $1 billion in anthrax-related contracts under Project Bioshield since 9/18 and 10/9
The second source is Richard Preston's book Demon in the Freezer, mostly about the threat of smallpox but with a few coincidental chapters on the anthrax attacks. Preston is author of the Hot Zone.
Both source have similar descriptions of the anthrax, which was a state of the art top secret preparation. Here's what Preston reported as taking place on Oct 19, 2001, as the Daschle powder was being analyzed (it arrived on Oct 15, 2001 at USAMRIID):
"The skulls were falling apart. He could see them crumbling into tiny clumps and individual spores, smaller and smaller as he watched. This was anthrax designed to fall apart in the air, to self-crumble, maybe when it encountered humidity or other conditions. He had a national security clearance, and he knew something about anthrax, but he could not imagine how this weapon had been made. It looked extremely sinister. He started feeling shaky. He called Jahrling. "Peter, I'm in the scope room. Can you come up here, like right now?"
Jahrling ran upstairs, closed the door, and stared at the skull anthrax for a long time. He didn't say much...Jahrling refers to the secret of skull anthrax as the Anthrax Trick, although he won't discuss it..."
Matsumoto reported how all reports initially confirmed this:
"Early in the investigation, the FBI appeared to endorse the latter view: that only a sophisticated lab could have produced the material used in the Senate attack. This was the consensus among biodefense specialists working for the government and the military. In May 2002, 16 of these scientists and physicians published a paper in the Journal of the American Medical Association, describing the Senate anthrax powder as “weapons-grade” and exceptional: “high spore concentration, uniform particle size, low electrostatic charge, treated to reduce clumping” (JAMA, 1 May 2002, p. 2237)."
Also from Science Nov 28 2003:
By March 2002, federal investigators had lab results indicating that the Senate anthrax spores were treated with polymerized glass, and stories began to appear in the media. CNN reported an “unusual coating” on the spores, and Newsweek referred to a “chemical compound” that was “unknown to experts who have worked in the field for years.”
This led to great alarm at high government levels - and then, in early 2002, the anthrax investigation got a new chief, Richard Lambert, the "lone wolf terrorist" theory was floated, and a new "assessment" was made of the anthrax powder, which claimed it was not high-tech at all. Then began the Hatfill witchhunt, followed by this latest attempt to pin the blame on a dead man and close the case.
This massive coverup / pin-the-blame-on-innocents campaign extended from mid-2002 onwards. It also included endless "anonymous leaks" about Steven Hatfill - kind of like all these anonymous leaks about Ivins, right? Meanwhile, who remains as suspect number one?
"The Battelle Memorial Institute, a nonprofit organization based in Columbus, Ohio, is possibly the only corporation in the world known to possess both the Ames strain as well as a “national security division” offering the services of a team of “engineers, chemists, microbiologists, and aerosol scientists supported by state-of-theart laboratories to conduct research in the fields of bioaerosol science and technology.” On its Web site, Battelle calls this research group “one-of-a-kind.”As subcontractors, Battelle scientists have made anthrax powders for use by the Army and U.S. intelligence agencies, but rarely by Fort Detrick, which specializes in vaccine development
Charles Dasey, spokesperson for the parent agency, the U.S. Army Medical Research and Materiel Command, says that as far as he is aware, the only dried anthrax spores made at Fort Detrick since it stopped making weapons were made by Battelle scientists working there for DARPA.
The fact is, there are just too many weird coincidences in this whole story - the fear brought on by the anthrax attacks that pushed the patriot bill through, the subsequent multi-billion dollar Project Bioshield handouts to the very same institutions that were likely the source of the anthrax used in the letters in the first place, and then the claim that the anthrax came from Iraq, used by the White House Iraq group to start a bloody and endless war. Now a lead figure on that group, Karen Hughs, has gone to work for the world's biggest PR firm, Burson-Marstellar - unreal.
The FBI's role is very shady here. Early on, they turned down hundreds of ex-agents who wanted to go to work beating down leads, to their consternation, and then they fired the lead investigative team and replaced it with Hatfill witchhunters. Definitely a coverup.
Battelle is being sued by Bob Steven's widow in Florida for a reason. Try reading this - came out in the Washington Post on Dec 21 2001, and must have shook some people up:
