Vital unresolved anthrax questions and ABC News

A top U.S. government scientist, suspected of the anthrax attacks, commits suicide. ABC News knows who is responsible for false reports blaming those attacks on Iraq, but refuses to say.

The letters thread is now closed.

ivins suicide ?

Wasn't Mr. Ivins reported to be a devout Catholic ?

If that is true, suicide would be highly unlikely. Any other thoughts on the subject ?

@gert

Wuh? Catholics don't get depressed? Catholics don't commit crimes and then off themselves out of desperation? Not following you...

Hey Captain

I'm not on board with all the conspiracies (haven't even read them all) but it really is unscientific to assume that a man's suicide while under investigation necessarily indicates guilt.

@gavbrown

I, too, placed two comments on the ABC thread, along with a link to the article.

I merely stated, "ABC, will you respond to Glenn Greenwald, who has called you out twice about this issue?" That hardly qualifies for a personal or malicious attack. I must say, too, that many commenters hammered ABC far worse than I did WITHOUT mentioning Glenn's name.

What gives, ABC?

@James T. Kirk

Really now, doesn't Cheney look guiltier than this murdered scientist?

Who is the victim and who is dead?

Who is alive and who benefits from the case being closed?

Just look at that sneer.

Look at our foreign policy.

How much more guilty does they guy have to be?

++++++++ ANTHRAX ATTACKS PLUS +++++++++

As the Administration's STORY of Anthrax UNRAVELS and ABC is in COVER UP Mode 24/7.... CAN we GET a NEW 911 INVESTIGATION with INVESTIGATORS, not WARCRIMINALS or POLITICIANS?? It too WAS a FALSE FLAG OPERATION by OUR GOVERNMENT..............

Friday, August 1, 2008 11:31 PM

This would explain questions that have haunted us.....

Such as "is this WHY impeachment was taken off the table"? Out of fear of chemical retribution?

Is this WHY the Dems capitulate on everything the administration wants?

Is this WHY Webb had his aide bring a gun to his Congressional office?

Is this WHY the Bush Administration refuses to go after Bin Laden?

Is this WHY the Bush Administration is still "close special friends" with the Saudis?

Did Tony Blair know about this? There were terrorist attacks on Tony's watch, but not Gordon Brown's watch. Gordon isn't quite so "cozy" with Bush as Tony was.

Is this WHY Cheney told Leahy to "GO FUCK YOURSELF"?

Is this WHY the GOP has become so brazen in its criminality, because they can poison/threaten to poison people who don't let their agenda go through?

Is this WHY they are wiretapping us, so if anyone does "tell", they can "get out ahead of the story" to protect themselves?

Is this WHY Bush bought 100 acres in Paraguay?

Just some questions.

Fox in the Hen House

Brian Ross is reporting--

Instead, Ivins became deeply involved in the FBI anthrax investigation, helping to analyze the anthrax-laden letters sent to members of Congress and participating in strategy meetings about how to find the person responsible.

http://abcnews.go.com/Blotter/story?id=5496693&page=1

According to information Brian Ross believes to be true, the anthrax investigation was compromised from the inside. With this new information it is vital to the national security of this nation that Brian Ross drop claims of journalistic privilege and to identify to the FBI all anonymous sources that they relied upon for ALL of their anthrax coverage. This is a matter of patriotism, national security and the safety of our country.

We cannot know if there are other possible conspirators still at large. Mr. Ross, you hold information that might prevent another attack. If you do not reveal your sources to the FBI then I believe you will become morally complicit in the attack against our country. My God man, I am begging you!!!

If you has revealed this information to the FBI, I would like to commend you. I would also add, since you have dropped your journalistic privilege it is your duty as a journalist and a citizen to publish this information NOW!!!

The late suspect Bruce Ivins; the lying ABC News

Assuming that the late suspect Bruce Ivins was guilty of the anthrax poisonings, he could very well have been pulling a "false flag" operation on the U.S. Government's--or Israel's--behalf.

ABC News--like so much of the MSM--is Goddamn worthless. Brian Ross and the late Peter Jennings put out false, fearmongering stories

about Iraq's alleged involvement in the anthrax poisonings.

Will ABC News come clean? Not likely.

Suicide? Really?

Why would someone with Ivins background choose TYLENOL as a suicide method? Why choose a painful death from failure of kidneys and then other vital organs. If he were a depressed teenager with only his parent's medicine cabinet at this disposal, then I'd find this plausible. Also, Ivins was a devout Catholic.

Assuming that Ivins was even involved in this matter, I find it hard to believe that it was suicide.

Closure?

A quick look at Google News showed a large number of headlines focusing on "closure."

I'm not conspiratorial by nature, but how, exactly, did Ivins die? There were fatalities in the original anthrax attacks, we now know it originated in a US weapons facility. This makes it difficult to avoid wondering, what's one more fatality in the course of achieving "closure"; of ending the story?

Anthrax questions

I would suspect that the government is involved in his "suicide".

Anyone who has knowledge of the criminal machinations of the US government is in line for the same fate. Dead men tell no tales!

Suicide?

How sure are we that Ivens committed suicide? It might be a little more difficult to hang the blame on him if he were alive to testify all that he knew.

Anthrax questions ...

With the death (murder?) of a government bio-weapons scientist by apparent suicide, I am left with conflicting emotions and thoughts.

First, it is always nice to see the death of one of the government goons involved in the development and manufacture of biological weapons of mass destruction. These men are demons come to life on this planet. Even so, I hate to see one man take the fall for another government false-flag operation as if he were the mythical lone-gunman of the JFK mythology.

But more importantly, why was the USA developing these weapons of mass destruction (also mass cowardice on the part of the potential user) when we had promised the world that we had put that sort of evil behind us? Can the official word of the American Government not be trusted? What next? Will we discover that the USA is building a new, smaller, easier to use generation of nuclear weapons? Ones that can be delivered from space?

Why were the letters made to look like they were from Islamic middle eastern types? Ah, so to justify a mass murder call war? If so, how could it justify a war? After all, if the USA has "mad men" and "loose cannons" in our government that supposedly do not represent the policy or will of our government; can the same not be said of other governments? If we are not to blame collectively for whichever scientist or CIA black opp team that sent the letters, how can we blame other governments for the fact that there may be criminal elements inside their borders?
