Vital unresolved anthrax questions and ABC News

A top U.S. government scientist, suspected of the anthrax attacks, commits suicide. ABC News knows who is responsible for false reports blaming those attacks on Iraq, but refuses to say.

The letters thread is now closed.

There's still a suspect.

Although Dr. Zack was let go, he returned frequently to visit friends, and used the Fort Detrick laboratories for “off-the-books” work after hours. After reports of missing biological specimens—including anthrax, Ebola and the simian AIDs virus—came to light, as well as reports of unauthorized research, a review of surveillance camera tapes recorded Dr. Zack entering the lab late on the night of Jan. 23, 1992, according to The Hartford Courant report. He was let in that night by Marian Rippy, a lab pathologist and close friend of Zack’s, although she now says she has no memory of the evening. She did say that Zack occasionally visited and that other friends let him in.

So, the FBI sure has curious methods these days.

They tried to frame Stephen Hatfill for anthrax: http://tinyurl.com/476qc5

They tried to frame Brandon Mayfield for the Madrid bombings: http://tinyurl.com/67kc7u

Every terror cell they roll up seems to be run by an FBI plant: http://tinyurl.com/zveyr

And, of course, now we can expect them to declare "case closed" with this "suicide".

Gee, just imagine if the Bush government had been able to use all the "anti-terror tools" they keep insisting on against Hatfill and Mayfield. You know the ones: secret court proceedings, no due process, torture confessions, etc.

They'd have convicted them. And ABC(Disney) and the other GWOT fantasy writers (24, anyone?) would have had us in Cohen's post-9/11 panic straight through from then until now, scared to death of our neighbors and surrendering our few remaining civil liberties faster than you can say, "9/11 was an inside job."

It was. Don't stop demanding answers about the obvious false flag anthrax attacks, but also make sure you check out the the History Commons' complete 9/11 timeline. Every fact sourced and sorted in time. Not the way the facts were originally presented: on page B15 or buried in the Style section, but in context. The story takes on a very different shape.

Oh, also, no use letting WaPo off the hook. Remember back in 2006 when they presented an almost entirely unsourced article saying that the anthrax was made by Jethro in his basement? (http://tinyurl.com/muqub)

Oops, nobody believed it.

And maybe that's what the FBI, Cohen, ABC and the WaPo could take away from this "botched" investigation. You can really only sell your credibility once.

The vaccine that Ivins was working on .....

Is known as AVA, or Anthrax Vaccine Adsorbed, or BioThraxtrade , and is produced by Emergent BioSolutions, Formerly BioPort.

The vaccine is referenced in articles like this one:

http://tinyurl.com/Ivins-ava-1

The new name for BioPort came about largely as a result of their infamous history, relating to never being approved for production, and being thought to be one of the chief causes of "Gulf War Syndrome". Yes, they are still around and still selling billions of dollars of this stuff to the government. Conspiracy theory sites always seem to mention that BioPort was formed by a partnership between G H W Bush and the Bin Laden group known as the Carlyle Group.

The Point here is that the big money, and as a result, the pressure on the FBI to solve the case, was going to Emergent BioSolutions, That huge government contractor with no apparent owners and incredible government research subsidies, matched only by it's own scientific and medical incompetance.

Ivins appears to have had a secure research career, and the FBI never found anything explicitly to charge Ivins with.

Dennis Kucinich warned us

"Let us pray that our nation's leaders will not be overcome with fear. Because today there is great fear in our great Capitol. And this must be understood before we can ask about the shortcomings of Congress in the current environment. The great fear began when we had to evacuate the Capitol on September 11. It continued when we had to leave the Capitol again when a bomb scare occurred as members were pressing the CIA during a secret briefing. It continued when we abandoned Washington when anthrax, possibly from a government lab, arrived in the mail. It continued when the Attorney General declared a nationwide terror alert and then the Administration brought the destructive Patriot Bill to the floor of the House. It continued in the release of the Bin Laden tapes at the same time the President was announcing the withdrawal from the ABM treaty. It remains present in the cordoning off of the Capitol. It is present in the camouflaged armed national guardsmen who greet members of Congress each day we enter the Capitol campus. It is present in the labyrinth of concrete barriers through which we must pass each time we go to vote. The trappings of a state of siege trap us in a state of fear, ill equipped to deal with the Patriot Games, the Mind Games, the War Games of an unelected President and his unelected Vice President."

The Usual Suspects

Ed Lake's web site has voluminous coverage of the anthrax attacks and follow-up:

This page is worth reading merely to show (a) a different "person of interest" and (b) indications that unusual or aberrant behavior was not limited to just one or two people at these labs (i.e., government offices are just like yours and mine):

Now this is a beauty

All it takes is one good prosecutor. ABC has no leg to stand on to protect its sources. However, it's all so damn sinister. Lies on top of lies. I've always thought this anthrax thing was as bizarre as it gets. Now it turns into a blockbuster movie. High-level intimidation from the heart of the U.S. government, and the top witness dead. However, i have to confess to missing the whole bituminate thing at the time. I mean if it was proven Iraqi anthrax, seems there would've been more of a stink.

You know, FISA is a relic of the war on terror and the crazy war powers Bush had. Putting a bunch of media executives in jail is a joke. The Bush government are the criminals.
