Your batting average, sadly, must still be represented using scientific notation...
Priceless. I'll have to remember that one.
and after calming me down with some orange slices and some fetal spooning, E.T. revealed to me his singular purpose. He said. "you are the chosen one. The one who will deliver the message. A message of hope for those who choose to hear it, and a warning for those who do not." Me! The chosen one. They chose me!!!! And I didn't even graduate from fuckin' high school!!Then he looked right through me with somniferous almond eyes. Don't even know what that means. Must remember to write it down.
This is so real. Like the time Dave floated away. See, my heart is pounding. cuz this shit never happens to me.
Can't breathe right now.
Strength through bowing. Well he already tried strength through bowling. How'd that work out?
But the real question is - What did Shooter know that we didn't?
I'm drafting a letter to my Senators (Clinton, Schumer). Obama, huh? I'll try, but I think it would get in the way of his campaign. ;-)
"Public choice economists also examine the actions of legislators. Although legislators are expected to pursue the "public interest," they make decisions on how to use other people's resources, not their own. Furthermore, these resources must be provided by taxpayers and by those hurt by regulations whether they want to provide them or not. Politicians may intend to spend taxpayer money wisely. Efficient decisions, however, will neither save their own money nor give them any proportion of the wealth they save for citizens. There is no direct reward for fighting powerful interest groups in order to confer benefits on a public that is not even aware of the benefits or of who conferred them. Thus, the incentives for good management in the public interest are weak. In contrast, interest groups are organized by people with very strong gainos to be made from governmental action. They provide politicians with campaign funds and campaign workers. In return they receive at least the "ear" of the politician and often gain support for their goals."

I have resisted raising this topic as long as I can. I believe there is an unspoken understanding on the left matched by one on the right to keep this information out of political discourse. Much like a medieval church, politics has divided people into a priesthood that gets the higher truth and the masses who get mythology. This passage I cited takes on more depth if you'll take a few moments to read it in the context linked to my screen name, which defines terminology underpinning this material. If there is a better explanatory model for the phenomena daily examined here, I'm not aware of it. One does not have to be of a particular political affiliation, or accept every detail of this school in order to benefit by its insights.
Respectfully,
The Great Orange one finally addresses his little Tangerines regarding the new FISA bill:
Of course, the lead on his much anticipated summation is: Hillary Clinton!
His thesis to the messes is that Hillary would have done the same if she were the nominee. Even though she voted the right way yesterday!
The word is the Kossacks, upon reading the tomb all simultaneously nodded in agreement, before executing the traditional Mass Democratic Genuflect to the Great One.
Democrats are "compromising" with the same party which impeached the last Democrat in the oval office over a hummer (and 6 short years later, literally applauded David Vitter on the House floor for gettin' with some hookers).
These are the same people who are now telling you the terrorists will kill your children in their sleep without changes to FISA. And, you better believe it, in a short 6 months the same people to whom domestic surveillance conducted by an Obama administration will express their outrage and draft their articles of impeachment (I say draft but, like the "Patriot Act" they're probably gathering dust on a shelf just waiting to be rolled out).
So spare me the outrage and cries of foul play come 2010, because we've seen this dog before and it does hunt.
but could he [Kos] just maybe say that "Obama will make a good president" and leave it at that? Not that I think he would even make a piss-poor president. But oh well, that's life in the big super-power.-- howardmk
Yes, I know. I saw that and cringed when I read it. I agree with you, I just didn't bother going into detail about his entire piece. There were parts of it that stunk.
And I'd suggest that means doing something RADICALLY DIFFERENT. Aim a Luke Skywalker type of shot at the exhaust port on the Bush43 Death Star: Bush knew about 9/11 beforehand and chose to do nothing. All Bush43 et al's lies hinge on 9/11/01.
The Dems need to ATTACK. Even if it means prison time or execution for their erstwhile leaders who may have also been party to foreknowledge AND INACTION regarding 9/11/01.
Perhaps Gitmo for the 110th wouldn't be such a bad idea -- they're useless to the point of complicity. Feinstein would do well to be waterboarded in a tandem, televised ceremony with Dick Cheney riding shotgun.
Votes and resolutions? How about guns and gallows? I'm fucking PISSED OFF.
Excellent choice for one of our new battles. Obama has said many times that he wants more transparency in government. Suggest you contact his staff in Washington and have them convince Obama to sponsor similar legislation in the Senate.
In any case, this lack of integrity is why democrats make such unappealling presidential candidates. You never know what you're going to get.

Wake up. This is not confined to one party.
And again this just shows how far we have to go to get what we believe we should have in Congress. Its our plumb line, our starting point for change.
that the Democratic party is courting favor with the GOP base instead of their own Democratic base..whats up with that...? What do they think they will gain if the GOP votes for them and the Dem's vote against them..do they really believe they are invincible...?
