I am tired of reading letters from people announcing that they will vote for someone other than Obama. It's the fad now to do that. Who cares who you will vote for. Do you think that by announcing your support for McCain or a third party, you make the the rest of us go all like "OMG, ONOZ, WTF, let me kill myself"? No, we are more like, "I don't know who this idiot is, but I wish he/she would either contribute to the topic or STFU." Do you realize how pathetic you sound? What are you hoping to achieve by making these inane statements? Are you trying to threaten someone into hearing you? If so, join emo-freaks on YouTube, put on some goth outfit, and get other emos to subscribe to you. Grow up. Most of us don't care about your immature outbursts. Write in your pet's name in November. Really. Just don't think that you need to let us know that you are writing in Snowball's name because, really, only you and Snowball give a damn.
I'm the last person to come to Obama's defense.

Good commentary Glenn, but rationalizing Obama's support with his quest for power is to ignore the obvious - Obama wouldn't have gotten where he is without the support of America's corporate elite. There was one genuine grassroots politician in the 2008 election cycle that would have stood against this legislation. In fact, he did - his name is Ron Paul. Unfortunately too many on the left balked at the idea of supporting a "Republican". Those so short sighted now get what they deserve.
You can be sick of it all you want, but that won't change the fact that it's true. I have yet to see someone respond directly and logically to this question: What does your not voting or voting for a third party accomplish, if not letting McCain win?
Sorry, but Prez McSame doesn't get to appoint SCROTUS justices, only nominate them. It is entirely up to the Senate who gets on the corrupt SCROTUS.
You whiny argument about McCain vs Obama-the-liar and the SCROTUS falls flat. The Democraps are in charge of Congress, and sadly, that wont likely change even after their abject traitorous vote to eliminate the 4th Amendment on Friday (and next week in the Senate). THEY are the ones to push to not accept McSame's nominees. They don't, by any means, have to go along with ANYONE within ANY time limit. They can keep saying "No!", "No!", "No!" to each and every nominee for 4 years, or 8, if they don't like the stench of any of McSame's nominees.
I will NOT vote for Obama. Not now. No way.
I will do everything in my power to dissuade anyone and everyone to not vote for Obama. He is a liar and cannot be trusted with anything. Hell's bells, he desires the unconstitutional powers that Bush/Cheney have claimed (and the Congress has repeatedly ratified by their silence and acquiescence). Anyone who desires that power is unfit to be handed that power and must be rejected.
Obama has been weighed, measured, and found wanting. He is unfit to serve and must be denied the powers he so craves. I don't give a f*ck for McSame. I am not even considering McSame.
I am voting anyone BUT Obama or McSame. I may even vote Nader.

Tell me, how are we "on the left" supposed to support Ron Paul in the Republican primary process?
I for one wished him well, but here in WV I wouldn't have had a chance to vote for him unless I changed my registration to Republican, something I couldn't do even if I held my nose.
While MANY of us will now vote 3rd party or not vote at all, and will do what we can to convince others to do the same, there are those like you with no principals whatsoever. there are those like you who see every single Amendment in the Bill of Rights as expendable for political gain.
This nation would be better off, and wouldn't be headed rapidly into authoritarianism followed soon after by utter collapse if there were fewer like you.
Happily, you were not there at the Founding to make the Bill of Rights into a mere List of Suggestions.
I sense a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of voices cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced...
Hallelujiah!!!!
Thanks for just confirming lilyrose's point.
Who warbles:

Well, speaking for myself, it would never occur to me to try to motivate anyone to "go all like..." little shorthand cliches. Of course, why should we care about what you care about? Are you "going all like" it's all about you?
The reason why one announces their intention to not vote for Obama is to point out that there are alternatives to blind devotion. Not everyone gets that.
No, we are more like, "I don't know who this idiot is, but I wish he/she would either contribute to the topic or STFU."
The topic is that Obama has decided to support a drastically miserable assault upon the constitution and what does one say about it?
What you say, apparently, is that opinions you don't like are off topic and should not be heard.
Do you realize how pathetic you sound? What are you hoping to achieve by making these inane statements?
Interesting that someone who overuses "we are like" and other boilerplate shorthand should feel that others are 'inane'. Er, you did look up the word did you not?
Are you trying to threaten someone into hearing you?
This is odd. Is someone around here making threats?

Oh, I get it now. You will be offline for a few minutes while your mom slips into the seat to send an email to her sister.
Now if you have a suggestion as to how to deal with politicians one supports who commit base and cynical betrayals, let us know.
Vote for them anyway? Try to send them a message?
The topic has nothing to do with your fantasies about 'emos' or rabbits. It has to do with how a community of people react to what many of us feel is a shocking betrayal.
