Good lord almighty, all this hyperventilating got me to look up the Bill of Rights and the 4th Amendment which states:

“ The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized."

That's it, folks.

I don't see anything here that would prohibit ANYONE from tapping into a telephone conversation, unless it was a telephone conversation conducted within the four walls of a house.

Maybe I'm a little too old or too far down the food chain for this discussion, but when I was young, the telephone was a "party line". If you picked it up and ran your mouth, everybody in town could listen in, no warrant required.

Only the rich folks could afford "private" lines, but that "privacy" was a privilege, NOT A RIGHT.

The original judge who ruled that wiretaps require warrants was probably one of those rich folks and generously misconstrued the United States Constitution to protect his private line. Now that we all have private lines, we'd like to think there is something in the Bill of Rights that says our conversations conducted with people hundreds of miles away, using a medium that we have to buy from a provider that records every call, are as sacrosanct as our "persons, houses, papers, and effects".

I'd like to think so myself, but it just isn't in there.

One does not need to be a conservative to climb on board the Liberty train. The Paulistas are strange bedfellows indeed, but today we can't afford to be partisan as our Republic is at stake.

Bottom line: This fight is no longer about Republicans vs. Democrats. It's about patriots and traitors.

There is a reason the Congress led by the incompetent Pelosi has the anaemic rating in the polls. The fact of the matter is they always let the almighty media which is as spineless as the so-called independents which helped in electing G.W.Bush twice dictate their actions. The result, you have no leadership in the Party of Democrats allowing a President with an approval rating south of freezing point virtually set the agenda and getting away with everything. This is sad.

When the Republicans attempted to impeach Clinton it was not popular yet they followed their beliefs regardless of how unpopular or misguided their actions were and they still retained majority in Congress, until their arrogance lost its capital.

Sadly, the Democrats in Congress are still standing in the middle of the road (or so they think)until the bus hits them off the road and the same media which they are taking their cue from begins to write theor obituary.

In a fit of anger and frustration, I dug up the names and contact information on the 105 "Democratic" traitors who voted to approve the latest version of the "Compromise FISA bill" -- which destroys our Fourth Amendment. I put the list on a website and will now go about "promoting" it. Ideally, with your help, we could bring this site to the attention of enough people to develop a viral network that could then gain enough critical mass among voters to remove these traitors.
