Obama, telecoms and the Beltway system

Why is the Democratic nominee intervening in a Democratic primary to support one of the worst pro-war, Bush-enabling Blue Dogs against a highly credible, progressive challenger?

I can't help as well but point out the glaring inconsistency in your two statements here:

(1)Obama is a smart guy. He is, first, a team player. Message: I am a Democrat, and support Democrats, especially incumbents. Plus, he is getting a chit. Later, when he needs it, he will cash in the chit.

    (2) Obama has ALWAYS supported incumbents. Remember, Obama supported Lieberman over Lamont.

Tell me how "smart" Obama was for supporting for Lieberman? How many "chits" did he get for that?

Obama endorsed Lieberman. Lieberman won with the support of many Democratic voters. And now that same Joe Lieberman is the most vicious demonizer of Barack Obama, running around the country all but calling him a Jew-hating Terrorist who can't be trusted on national security.

Tell me again how "smart" this behavior is and all the great "chits" you get when you do it?
