    Gee, Glenn, why so confused?

Obama is a smart guy. He is, first, a team player. Message: I am a Democrat, and support Democrats, especially incumbents. Plus, he is getting a chit. Later, when he needs it, he will cash in the chit.

Doesn't seem odd to me. Obama has ALWAYS supported incumbents. Remember, Obama supported Lieberman over Lamont.
