    Sysprog wrote & posted: "A week later, on Sunday, May 18, 1952, Paul Robeson, who hadn't been allowed to go to Vancouver , BC (or any other foreign destinations) gave a concert to a crowd in Canada from a platform in Blaine, WA, a few inches inside the US-Canada border. (Actually, the crowd was milling about and ignoring the border, and the FBI agents and RCMP agents were tripping over each other while trying to get snapshots of everybody).

    Jaysus, thanks for that. Where did we go wrong? What happened? How did we get to where we are now? Where have all the decent people gone? All you need do is read the letter that follows yours, sysprog, and it makes a decent human being want to weep. "Israel", froths the sugarman (yes Davie, I'm outta here), "doesn't need more Arabs." And this poor sad old planet doesn't sure as hell doesn't need any more sugarmen.
