    Pedinska, Kitt

Kitt: No, it was definitely Voles. An instance of meta-drift!

Pedinska: Personally, I like the thread drift, and value it as a part of a vital community. Sometimes it's like what WT described as the Algonquin Effect (okay, I added the 'Effect' part), other times even the silliness adds to the community. Not everyone agrees, as we've seen here recently. But it would be a poorer place, IMHO, without it.

HOTT-wise, I just figured it would be another means to keep the drift going ... or an outlet, when there's something worth sharing and discussing that's just one leap too far. Then there's the possibility of cross-fertilization, as one OT group collides with another. We'll see, I guess.
