How telecoms are attempting to buy amnesty from Congress

Lobbyist disclosure forms and campaign contribution records illuminate the sleazy process by which our key laws are written.

Che and Quick

So long as the People don't resist, you can bet the Government isn't going to back off, either.

-- Ché Pasa

Don't misunderstand my comment. I know you have not in any way been overstating the seriousness of the problem. It is a human tragedy of gigantic proportions, and it could be halted or slowed if more honest care and focus were put on it. Much money to be made due to exploitation of cheap labor and so the spin and misplaced blame on the laborers themselves goes on and on.

No, Quickstrategy, it is not a faith-based organization. It seems to be quite well run and in the loop of many other well run organizations. And my daughter would be the first to tell you that NGO's have long been corrupted or having to fight off corruption. That fact/issue has been a part of her studies for years now. She has a Masters and is working on a Doctorate, and she has been involved, and hands on, on many levels.

Kitt

I was making an obviously-not-so-funny funny, riffing off your typo of 'prophet' instead of profit. (Ah well, it amused me anyway)

And I meant it when I said, Good for her!

I knew that. I missed the 'prophet' bit though. Now that I get it, it's funny. ;o)

Nah...

People will remember that.

They'll all be too "senile" by then. And most of them aren't obsessed with me like you and Bucky. I find your obsessions fascinating, if not flattering.

Wow, lol. What a firm grip on reality you have! That is some classic projection. Go back and read through this or any other thread... see which one of us brings up the other more regularly. You may want to forget about the splinter in my eye, till you deal with that plank in yours.
