Chamberlainain
Does anyone consider that Chamberlainain used the time between Munich and the opening of hostilities to begin the largest peace time construction program ever for the Royal Navy? Used the time to put the Spitfire into production?
As goes the RN so goes the safety of Britain, and the Spit was more than single weapon responsible for winning (as in surviving) the Battle of Britain.
Some call it appease ... then again, some go to war 'with the army they have, not the army they want' ... Britain won WWII, how is the US doing in Iraq/Afghanistan?
