Red blooded patriots
As far as I know, all, or nearly all US citizens who were convicted of spying against the US or convicted of treason, were US born. I would like to add one more act of treason by a US born citizen. His name is George W Bush, a native of Connecticut. On 9/12/2001, the only aircraft he allowed to take off was a charted plane carrying members the Bin laden family, destination Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. FBI agents who wanted to question the Bin Laden family members in the aftermath of the worst terrorist attack on US soil were told by Bush surrogates to lay off.

And Arutz Sheva...
The other link...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arutz_Sheva
MEMRI and Arutz Sheva is like using the Pentagon Analysts and Rush Limbaugh as a credible source. Except Rush is legal. Sure, there may be some nut in Jordan making outrageous statements. So what? America has got the market on nuts cornered and then Israel has it's share. Almonds, isn't it?

Well, at least they didn't kiss...
like Bush does with his Saudi overlords. And holds hands with them, too.
Kathleen Parker is usually just mildly obnoxious. She outdid herself with these last two columns. I wonder: what exactly does it take to make one a "full-blooded" American? I don't believe I have a single indigenous North American in my family tree.
Then again, Parker and the useful idiot she interviewed didn't mention all the people living in this continent before all the "explorers" arrived.

Washington Post Writers Group
I mentioned earlier that Kathleen Parker is syndicated by the Washington Post Writers Group. Here's an excerpt from her WPWG page and a link to the rest:
"Kathleen Parker’s clear, descriptive, lively writing underscores her common-sense approach to life's challenges. Twice weekly, she assesses the country’s mental health with a Rorschach uniquely her own – a reporter’s gimlet eye combined with a sense of humor that Parker attributes to having grown up with five mothers. "My ambitious goal," she says, 'is to try to inject a little sanity into a world gone barking mad.'"
. . .
"Praised for 'attacking ignorance and stupidity with vividness and originality' by the judges of the prestigious H.L. Mencken Writing Award, which she won in 1993, Parker gained a rapt and appreciative audience throughout the 1990s."

The decline of WaPo
We've gone from Woodward and Bernstein to Kathleen Parker implying that we're going to lose our place in the world because Obama and Edwards are gay? Wow, how far can we fall that fast?
It's only a small step to now calling Edwards a fag, like Man Coulter did a few months ago.
While I'm offended by the race comments, I'm equally offended by the constant accusation that if men are good looking and not a turkey-waddled septuagenarian on his 2nd wife and nth mistress, they must be gay.

Kathleen Parker
What white pride can she have? If one looks at the last 50 years worldwide it is obvious that whites do not have the reproductive fitness of darker skinned peoples. So what is she proud about? In 200 years there will be no people on earth that look like her. Hopefully, in 50 years there will be no people on earth that think like her.

This is what Scooter has been reduced to.....
The swipe at Edwards was secondary to the political correctness angle suffered by Isaiah Washington. Meanwhile back at the quote, does she actually call Edwards a "faggot"? No. She makes an insinuation. What you think someone said, isn't indictable. On the other hand this IS the crowd that hounded Foley out of office for being homosexual while ignoring the Democratic version which included actual sex. What hypocrisy.
Parsing the words of Ann "Adam's Apple" Coulter.
Nice work, Scooter. What would this blog do without your incisive ability to show us the error of our ways?
-
I suppose...
Scooter would be perfectly happy if James Carville went on TV and said that McCain's wife was a dumb slut. Or that Coulter herself was a "dike".
Oh wait, she didn't actually say "it".

Washington Post Op-Ed
It is truly amazing that in the 21st Century we have not progressed beyond the sort of disturbing harangue that Glenn Greenwald describes as being allowed to appear in the Washington Post. Obviously the Managing Editor and his staff are the same kind of mental midgets that compromise the Anchor Desks at the major TV Networks.
What makes it even more frightening is that there are any number of americans who believe this crap. Just when we thought McCarthyism could never again darken our doorsteps, out pops the Bush Administration and their minions who have damaged this country in ways we would have never thought possible. These right wing fear mongers, war mongers, and religious fanatics have created a climate that has brought us to the brink of self-destruction. Bush and his administration have accomplished something that Al-Quaida could not. They have brought this once great democracy to its knees.

Holy Sh*t!
My grandfather fought in WWI -- on the German side. I'm descended from the Southern Aristocracy which commanded some Americans to kill other Americans, and way back I've got Native American ancestry which probably fought with those European palefaces who founded this country.
Deport me now! Clearly I am a risk to us all! The clincher -- I don't wear a flag pin!

Exposing stupidity is always good....
Two thoughts:
1)Exposing stupidity is always good. During the civil rights movement it was the televised images of the violence toward peaceful demonstrators that ignited the sensibilities, passions and anger of the decent white populace and moved them to the cause. IMO the fact that the Washington Post prints this is not a negative in and of itself. It won't convince anyone who isn't already a racist to become one, but it may shock some otherwise decent people who really cannot believe that there are still people who think this way. These are white folks who aren't racists but who may be on the fence about voting for Obama because they are a bit "uncomfortable" with how "unfamiliar" he is to them. These are the decent folks who can be moved to do the right thing when they see the ugliness of true racism first hand.
2)The one good thing about Senator Obama, and what we've learned from his primary season, is that he takes nothing for granted. Despite Hillary being the one who branded herself as a fighter (and she is) he is the one who took not one state for granted and fought as hard as he could in each of them. I think his strategy for populations of whites who are 'unfamiliar' involves a heavy ground game with people IN those communities actually recommending and discussing issues with these potential voters. We all know that in marketing, word-of-mouth or the recommendation of friends is more effective than advertising. These Obama supporters (20 something percent, even in a place like WV) will be heavily relied on to engage in on-going discussions about the candidate, provide educational information about the issues and where the candidates stand on them specifically. It won't be simply a "can we get your vote" phone call. (I'm not being trite here. Many rural Americans get their news only from christian and/or right wing radio and right wing talk radio and a few TV stations. They do not have the internet and do not watch cable. So educating them will be very important to counter-balance the impact of McCain's TV commercials and messages they hear every single day). Everyone jokes about how 'stupid' these people are and how they'll fall for anything. I don't mean to be an ass but if that's true...the work to persuade them to our side should be relatively easy. (Incidentally I DON'T think they are stupid I think they lack access to the volumes of information we have in other places in the country). I DO think tha if they have good information, presented in a way that allows them to think critically, they (some) can be swayed. In certain ares of the country it will be much tougher (WV) in others, maybe a little easier (PA).
