"Actual journalists" as government spokespeople

New documents obtained by the ACLU shed more light on the U.S. torture regime and how "actual journalism" works.

always a bad mix

“And there are plenty of "Zionists" who aren't warmongers and racists.” Glenn Greenwald

I wish that were true, Mr. Greenwald, but Zionism is by definition, racist. Then there’s the fact that at the epicenter of Zionism’s obsessions is Israel - a ‘warmongering’ culture if there EVER was one – a culture built from the bricks and blocks of Zionism’s fractured principles and a delusional sense of deserved entitlement.

Always a bad mix.

@ arthurdecco (yum, yum, a tasty morsel)

"Zionism is by definition, racist."

-- whose definition, arthurdecco? Bring your "definition," please.

"Then there’s the fact that at the epicenter of Zionism’s obsessions is Israel"

-- that's a "fact"? don't you need to establish that "obsessions" is a factual descriptive term here, or else drop it, and leave the rather unremarkable statement that "at the epicenter of zionism is Israel," which would indeed be true "by definition"?

"a ‘warmongering’ culture if there EVER was one"

-- compared to what, Arthur?

"a culture built from the bricks and blocks of Zionism’s fractured principles"

-- would you tell us what zionism's principles are fractured forms of, please?

"and a delusional sense of deserved entitlement."

-- compared to what sense of deserved entitlement that you would accept is not delusionsal? Who has this sense and, why is it not delusional in their cases?

Always a bad mix.

-- you have other instances of this combination of nonsense that allow you to speak as connoisseur of it?

Great to be aware of, but does anyone really care?

I admire Glenn Greenwald's coverage of things we don't here about in the "Media," but at times I have to wonder if he's preaching to the choir.

Most Republicans don't care that prisoners have been abused in US custody, in fact they cheer it on. The demonization of Muslems seems to make them feel better about themselves. Furthermore, There's not a Democratic candidate willing to speak out against this.

There is, unfortunately, a good portion of the US population who feels that this is exactly how these people should be treated - i.e. fans of 24.

Sadly, there is a great lack of outrage from those who don't feel this to be a prudent course of action.
