  • Let's pick on Jkalos. My o day. Good.

YKW is obviously audacious. If YKW doubts Jkalos's veracity, then let LWM explain himself more explicitly. LWM can Cut and Paste some more. Many are enjoyable reads. Readers can skip over this too, and anybody else's gibber or wisdoms.

If YKW is too copious for us other readers because we have more dull-brain mush-cells, and more moron diminutive minds.... Well? Whatever. So be it. Some folk have nil capacity? evolve. show compassion. with/passion.

If YKW's flow of information makes them feel so full of superiority..... Well? So be it? Maybe they read a briefing paper. Maybe they were faxed a screed. Beware. A subtle semblance of degradation may lead to incremental despair, or a total depravity human condition? Who knows? No one can judge some common events and greater mysteries.

Maybe YKW is a worst human post-education? Shame to use a opportunity/privledge to read books, and sit on the laurels in a university/school, or be enrolled at a [s]think tanks. Be cautious ya's don't become somewhat part beast, part monstrous, and extremely filled with sneers? Unaware?

What can be said to a sneering face? It is a truly ugly countenance. It's to show off a glare? A dark side that's never been looked at and personally claimed, or made tame. Manage the beast. It can grow obnoxious and appear pugnacious. Pug puppy. It is the epitome of worthless. Hubris.

I am just thinking out loud. I've skimmed and skipped 'stuff'...

Let's hope a pugnacious politico can breed new better humans?

Maybe start with breeding cocker spaniels with yellow labradors.

Jkalos. I'm just popping off... I'd never call you a jackass tho...Oy!

  • -- GlennGreenwald

"Honestly, the last thing I want to do is "hall monitor" the comment section -- as PDA put it -- but you're forcing me to do it."

Relax, My Friend. It's under control now.

If the thought of watching Pedinska, Bebop-O and I doing the hully gully in the buff doesn't convince our more recalcitrant bashers, I'll talk to Mona and see if she'd be interested in joining us as a bonus.

Nobody, and I mean absolutely nobody, will be able to resist that demonstration.

  • Jkalos

I would love to be able to sit down in a group of all you folks and just talk for a while so I could come to a better understanding of what you are trying to say

It would never work, turn into a shouting match within seconds. There is just entirely too much animosity between certain people here.

Not to mention that the only thing you would be able to think about would be just how fugly we all are. :-)

  • Forget Boycotts...STRIKES!

Baldie asked a few pages back about what sort of civil disobedience and/or boycott might be effective.

    I recommend two approaches.

    1) Massive public STRIKES on pre-arranged dates.

Logic: The US government does not work for the interests of the "individual" citizen. The US government works for the interests of the "corporate" citizen. THUS, public mobilization against the corporations will result (very quickly, I'd expect) in the government getting the message that the peasants have had enough. As soon as shareholders' wealth is threatened, politicians will change their actions.

    2) Simple tax revolt.

Logic: Anyone who earns a wage can legally request a W4 form and change their stated tax deductions. A person living alone, such as myself, might, for example, have perfectly valid reasons for declaring 12 deductions on their W4.

If 50,000 people would actually step up and make the (trivially small) "sacrifice" of having to pay taxes next April, PLENTY of folks in positions of power will get the message.

If 250,000 people make that same sacrifice (of convenience), we could likely make headway about affecting policy.

How many people are prepared to help? We're not talking about committing crimes that might result in arrest, like civil disobedience. We're not talking about rushing the barricades or grabbing our guns or any nonsense like that.

How many members of MoveOn! are there again? How many are serious?

As for me, I'm probably at risk of being disappeared for having suggested the latter option. Damn.

  • kd6rxl raises two an excellent points...

Which I will reiterate for the benefit of those who may have missed it:

FIRST EXCELLENT POINT: No one is allowed to talk about American war crimes unless they first denounce every war crime committed by everyone else throughout all of time, starting with the Cro-Magnon genocide against Homo neandertalensis...

SECOND EXCELLENT POINT: Since other people have perpetrated war crimes against us, it's not only morally acceptable, but morally required to to do the same. Every six-year-old knows this rule. Constitutional lawyers refer to it as the He-Started-It Clause (which appears in the Constitution right after the President-Is-God-King-Clause). This clause, in turn was inspired by our Judeo-Christian heritage. In the Gospels we may recall that Jesus enjoined us to "Turn the other cheek ... so that when the chinks, slopes, and darkies go in for the second slap, you can joint-lock that mo-fo and put some ladies panties on his head."

  • Another Rock Reveals . . . MORE

How many more countless things has this administration done that were illegal that we don't even know about? It seems every rock one turns over in investigating this administration, there is some other illegal activity going on.

From the fired attorneys, to the manipulation of elections (Singleman), to the outing of a CIA agent, to an illegal war, on and on -- this is the banana republic that Glenn often alludes to. Imagine the countless other activities that have not even been touched upon, studied, investigated, etc.

Obama said bitter and got reamed for it -- but I am so much more that bitter, I am disgusted and outraged beyond any capacity that I thought I could reach. It is this behavior which has enabled me to truly understand what drives revolutionary impulses either in an individual or a group of people.

  • Why Not?

I really do consider all of you to be valuable contributors and don't want to discourage you from posting.

    Glenn Greenwald

I can't speak, of course, for any of the other excellent commenters you mention, Glenn, but in my case, I would never have considered you capable of such a shocking misjudgement.

This throws every word you have written (and which I have assiduously inculcated, if that is the word I want, or indeed, a word at all) into a shocking new light.

I refuse to play the schlamazel to your schlemiel, and that is where a misaprehension of this type invariably leads, capiche?
