At the risk of taking you seriously...I'd like to posit two doomsday scenarios that already took place in the past few years.

In one, a rogue nation manipulated weaker powers to invade a country. In that invasion, 8,000 people died. Once occupying the country, that nation undertook actions that have caused the death of tens of thousands and caused a civil war that's not likely to find an end for decades.

In the other, a rogue nation attacked its neighbor and littered its populace with tiny explosive devices that have so far resulted in the deaths and injuries of over a thousand people.

I'm sure you're on top of these threats to humanity, but perhaps your efforts would be better aimed at the calamities that have already (and are) occuring, rather than hypothetical dangers in a hazy future.

Hamas is an enemy of Israel, not the U.S.

My question is rhetorical: He simply does not take religion seriously. He cannot imagine a world-view based on a particular, totalitarian form of Islam. He can imagine that American democracy is threatened by a Falwell, but not that our strong world position, on which American democracy depends, can be threatened by a resurgent Islam. Even as he observes how the "Palestinians" moved from the secularism of Arab nationalism, which could include Christians, to an exclusive Islamism that has no place for them, to Hamas, which is the Muslim Brotherhood in power.
