time for an organized boycott
I think the time is ripe for a MSM boycott, a formal one with a signed petition. We can start with ABC, since they are the latest offender. While it's true that a lot of us have weaned ourselves away from the MSM, they still have way too much sway over how issues are framed and there are still too many people who are affected by their lies. Remember the effect of the Swiftboat crap! An economic backlash against ABC/Disney WILL have some impact. I watched the Sunday shows today to see what the reaction would be to the debate debacle and the more it looks like Obama will be the candidate, the more the knives are coming out. It didn't appear that any of the Sunday participants, with the exception of Eleanor Clift, had even looked at polls on the debate, which completely demolish the MSM arguments on "Bittergate" "Debategate" or whatever--Sam, Cokie, Tim et all are still misrepresenting and ommitting. They are absolutely committed to maintaining the status quo and their own tax cuts. I find it hard to believe that these jerks believe a word they are saying. I heard Sam Donaldson natter on about how "what voters care about is the character of the candidate"--this is recycled Bush-is-a-regular-guy drivel!
The latest NYT revelation is part of the iceberg. We need to elect someone who will expose and investigate this chicanery, who will restore the law about media balance that Reagan dismantled. Obama should give a main speech about the media, pointing out their lies, propaganda and ommissions and how MSM figures personally profit from this lying. He has nothing to lose at this point.
