  • Clear Conflict of Interest

Many retired generals have business dealings with the military through contractors. This type of relationship should completely eliminate them from giving analysis. The fact is that they have an axe to grind and cannot be relied upon to offer information in an unbiased light. The media also has a clear duty here and that's to shed light on these dealings and inform the public accordingly.
