  • Didn't post this yesterday (O/T) but HRC does NOT like many of us...

...Clinton said to a meeting of donors. "We have been less successful in caucuses because it brings out the activist base of the Democratic Party. MoveOn didn't even want us to go into Afghanistan. I mean, that's what we're dealing with. And you know they turn out in great numbers. And they are very driven by their view of our positions, and it's primarily national security and foreign policy that drives them. I don't agree with them. They know I don't agree with them. So they flood into these caucuses and dominate them and really intimidate people who actually show up to support me."
  • Bikers and a Gun Shop

Jeremy Scahill presented a short video film on Bill Maher's Real Time last night, in which Scahill interviewed a handful of bikers and a gun shop owner somewhere in the Pennsylvania countryside. EVERY ONE of them said they were going to vote for Obama, or were tending that way--and gave their reasons for doing so directly and thoughtfully. David Brooks should get out more.

  • Ha!

Ha! Hil bags out the lefty-nutroots. Priceless. By September there should be all-out carnage. The Democrats have a problem. It's called the Democrats.

  • @ProxiWar - redux

Everything will be just fine. If anything, I'll be interested to see what happens to the class of professional frothers once Bush and the Rethuglicans are out of the picture for a while.

    -- Proximity Warning

I, for one. will take a job as a barista at Starbuck, so my froth can be used in the Republicans' java. They are slow learners, we've got to keep the learning going. They sowed enough sufferings to last for a century.

  • Give Broder his props when...

    ... he get's it right.

  • Brook's Bowling Score

I would like to know David Brooks bowling score as a measure of how to view his columns. That will determine whether he is in touch with the common man and will determine if he is like me enough to read him.

  • @celery

How did you guess? The wild turkey IS feeding under my window. Right at this moment. Each time I see one of these beautiful birds, it reminds me of the devastation the Savage Capitalism has/is perpetuating on our environment.

  • bamage. ;~ (O/T) me too.

bamage. The shoe store 'Payless' is having a walking shoe sale. If readers have a foot fetishist friend, please inform them. Buy brown boots or green crocks at half-price with a Salon Gold Star member coupon.

At www.firedoglake/ Christy Hardin Smith has a good suggestion. "Pull up a chair" and 'hit' a site called ~

    Project Bud Burst.

Glenn is somewhere. At the 17th Street Cafe? Maybe. It's none of our bees-wax. stfu? err. ok.

bamage. Do you ever feel like you have a lip sore herpes while you are addressing a Drudge/Rush talk show host, and begging for a high-paid 6-finger job-role? You are hopeful to land a job. You are required to be bodily-present at the radio-mike at least 10-hours each day. However ~ Mr. Drudge/Rush observes you are 8-months pregnant, doused with pink calamine lotion for your itchy poison ivy, and you wear one orange, and one blue flip-flop?

bamage. walk in wet beer feet.

Good luck at the new radio job.

  • Sheild and Brooks

Somebody probably mentioned this but I don't have time to read all posts today. In case not-Brooks was on The News Hour spouting about how "they" care about flag-pins because "they" want to see if "he" is like me. I'm a she for one, and if I did care if "they" were like me, not wearing a flag-pin would be the way to go. But Shield fought back with points that could have been straight of Glenn's book.

  • Indeed!

The Democrats have a problem. It's called the Democrats.

    -- Proximity Warning

Granted we have a problem. That's because we are not automatons driven by "primitive prejudices"[digby].

Our big tent is NOT a fantasy/phantasmagoria/PR creation. Look a the color of all of our people!

The rainbow cannot even do it justice. We love them in all shapes, forms and colors. We are for justice for ALL. We are for the people by the people with the people. PROUD to be what America has been deprived of for so long. Come with us and see how it feels to be free at last. When you get a taste of it, you'll NEVER look back.

  • Bamage @ Hillary

Remember when Hillary famously said "It takes a Village..."?

One can hear the Village Establishment clearly, in her tone. Granted, this tape is old. But the view expressed is no doubt still valid, and is shared by many in both parties.

Most disturbing is her comment on Afghanistan. It simply isn't true, nor was it true when Karl Rove used it. And that brings us to a depressing aspect of Clinton's campaign. Her managers have consistently and continuously used GOP techniques, talking points, and strategies during her run. Divisive in terms of gender and race, knowingly putting out false characterizations.

This doesn't anger me so much as sadden me. The behavior, after all, carries its own penalty: it's not working. She has lost. There is no way she can get back on top at this point.

  • oratorio! Respectfully. Happy gobblers seeking blue pearls.... (move-on-me-too) out/over.

Well. I did not want to bomb the Afghan wheat growers either.

Why bomb a poor peasant into a 'bag of dry skeletal bones' err?

Now the poppy fields cover 90% of the rural country side. Policy.

Those scary poppy blossoms lure buzzing bumble bees. Drug$!

A healthy human holds anger gently. Nature did not give guns.

Anger is a natural healthy emotion.

A corporeal body is a human being.

Embrace our anger. No bomb. o no.

And No hate, kill, lie, deny. O Care.

The GOP are naked. They are bare.

    No drink bud-beer. Remain sober.
