apologies. out/over. Glenn does Not wear glasses. He has 20/20 vision.
~ My respect. Your service to the nation deserves more esteem and recognition. The Planet appreciates what you do. The corporate media etc.,
should give you your due respect. (I tease and care.)
Maybe we are all imperfect? That is a truism! thanks.

Keeping tab?
Is there a website which is listing the malfeasance and the turpitude committed by the present administration under the pretense of patriotism, security and morality?
Is there an other period in US History which approaches or surpasses this one for raping the American People and its constitution the way it has been unquestionably demonstrated the last eight years?

I believe you are looking for Hugh's list. Here it is:

IF...
... there is such a website, it would be enormously indebted to Mr. Greenwald for the invaluable work he has done in the matter.

@Jim White, What’s the line in that song?
“I thought it would never end.” Hugh’s list is at a staggering 339 items and counting. The Busheviks have set a mark that will truly never be beaten. You have to give them an A+ for consistency. It’s remarkable how they can make so many wrong decisions and still keep their record intact. Maybe the Busheviks’ plan all along has been, in time, the American people will just come to expect we have screwed them again and think nothing of it. Another brilliant scheme that seems to have worked.
And it makes GG’s gradualism, one brick down at a time approach, seem so monumental that only an inhuman effort like Glenn’s, can start to reverse the course. I’m reminded of the lyrics in the country group Bomshel’s song The Power of One:
One person refused to sit on the back of the bus
She changed the ride for all of us
Oh, that's the power of one
('Cause) one grain of sand can turn the tide
One single spark can light the night
One simple dream
One gentle word
One act of love from someone
Can start a chain reaction
It all begins in the heart
And the power of one (oh, no)
All the little things we do every day
The smallest step can bring on a change
Oh, that's the power of one

Why no impeachment -- or any accountability at all?
A complex issue. Apparently.
Gonzales was forced out, but not for what he did. He was forced out because he didn't do what he did well enough. So they got Mukasey, as corrupt as Gonzales but usually smoother about it. Well, until the Incident At The Commonwealth Club. But not to worry. He has people to smooth it over for him. Carry on.
Yoo went back to corrupting the minds of impressionable youth at Boalt Hall, where he had come from to begin with. He is a made man. Corrupting youth was his primary function before he was summoned to Serve the regime, and it is again. He's a Federalist Society mole, like hundreds or thousands of others "placed" in strategic positions all over this fair land of ours. Nothing can be done to him so long as he is protected by his patrons, Addington and Cheney. And so he laughs in your face and pokes sticks in your eye, because he can. And there is nothing you can do about it. Punk.
Pelosi long ago ordered that there be no discussion of, let alone investigation that might lead to impeachment in her house, and she has been absolutely as stubborn about this command as any Bushevik has been about establishing Autocracy. We ask why and we get seething contempt in response. No. No. No. No. No! Why? SHUT UP! The House is considering Important Things. GO. AWAY!
Why? We may never know, but in the meantime, there will be no impeachment, no matter the misdeeds at the White House. She would rather risk her seat in Congress than allow her House to consider the grave matter of removing the executive for cause. No matter what.
There will be no impeachment, therefore, no matter what -- unless We, The People take upon it upon ourselves to do what our representatives in Congress assembled have been forbidden to do.
But, but, but... we CAN'T! It wouldn't be LEGAL!! The media wouldn't COVER it! It would be a JOKE! The People can't do ANYTHING except through their representatives in Congress assembled and if their representatives refuse or are forbidden to do what is necessary, the People cannot (OMG, no!) take matters into their own hands and... do what must be done... set up a People's Tribunal and investigate and impeach and convict the bastards anyway.
Nope. Can't do that.
Never mind, then.
What's Britney been up to lately? American Idol? Dancing with the Stars?

The eternal question
Why are WE staying in this destructive relationship?
Why?
-
An other important question
How long will it take so we can trust a Republican again?
-
Ah, yes, Yoo
Just following orders.

Olive branch
Elephantman, vote for the Democratic Party candidate in November so you can, for the first time, experience real honor, compassion, respect, justice, equality, brotherhood and a non-destructive patriotism, in short, what you thought you were experiencing, but like the banner "Mission Accomplished", was nothing but grand delusion. Come and join sanity. As someone once said, it feels like taking off a very tight shoe. It is not that difficult and it feel so good. Leave pain behind. Experience what to really be alive feels like. Be, at last, all you can be.

@ Ché Pasa
Everybody here has heard both of us on this subject often enough that they could could write our stuff for us. (Not that anyone in his right mind would want to, of course.)
I'm not sure there's any point in raising our differences again, but your last comment, particularly the part about Pelosi and impeachment, has set me to thinking about it again. (As we've gotten closer to Bush's departure date, I've focused other things -- the election, the developments in Iraq, the Justice Department, the continual leaks which have gradually tied this whole mess together, and located all the players in what has comed to seem more and more like history's eventual judgment on them and their machinations.)
To me, there've always seemed some sound reasons -- tactical and strategic -- why the actual process of impeachment should have been off the table even after the Democrats won their narrow majority in Congress in 2006. Apart from the mechanics of the process, and the near certainty that no conviction would be forthcoming in the Senate, I've always thought that an active majority of the electorate would have to support it -- and vociferously -- before it could be or should be attempted.
I've also thought that creating such a majority would take more time than there was available. Glenn and others are good at what they do, and the message seems to be reaching more and more people, parts of it even filtering into the more sensible corners of the major media. Maybe, with a little help from events, we can eventually reverse some of the worst policy decisions of the Bush administration, starting with electing more solid majorities for the Democrats -- and better Democrats -- to Congress.
Well, that's what I believe, and as I said, pretty much everyone who reads the UT comments knows it. Still, I'm curious about what you believe. You almost always say that the deck is stacked against us, which of course it is, even if not quite in the way, or to the degree which you suggest, but as far as I remember, you haven't said much about what, if anything, you would have us do about it.
Am I just being obtuse because I disagree with you, or do you have some alternate strategy which you believe might be more effective?
