Foolishness
Maybe I am a fool.-- Gordon
Progress is being made? Really? The way I see it, believing in and relying on what you and your friends here see as progress actually damages our position further. How long it will take for "slow" or "small" or "incremental" progress to overtake the pervasive evils? Will it ever? Perhaps the better question is - How long are you willing to play their game?
What you are so happy with and what you would ask us to applaud is a 2% raise during 10% inflation. "Hey look at that we got a raise when it didn't look as though we would receive one at all! That's something, right? And, if we work hard enough within the system and elect a Democrat, we will get a 3% raise!"
If inflation continues to rise what does that 3% amount to? Unfortunately, the powers that be have gamed the system and will not allow our raise to exceed their rate of inflation. Not by normal means anyway. I think there have been times in our history when we have gotten fairly close but, relatively speaking, those times were not "normal" and were not defined by slow, small or incremental progress.
