Aych
Someone pulled the veil back on our buddy Asher a while ago. I admire him for diving in at such a tender age. Not something I would have had the nerve (or ego) to do, but I hope he isn't so full of himself that he isn't able to learn from the experience.
Bucky - one of the comments on that article you linked sort of brings all of this together (and thank you for sharing that):
Life in a police state; thanks to conservative political ideology. A lot like the “nipple,” the “tee-shirt” is also a big threat to America’s security. Perhaps they should cover the nipple with the tee-shirt; that way America won’t be so frightened.
I guess we weren't as off-topic as I thought.
Jebbie, are you part of the anti-nipple police state?

@Aycharaych
I have been urging anyone involved in any sort of protest anywhere to picture and video everything they can and immediately email it from their phonecam to another location.
Can the State muzzle Little Brother?

@GC
You are always so gracious to share with us your personal, harsh past experiences, but you never let them blind you to today or the future. That is why we learn so much from you. You set yourself free and unfortunately, some people let the past imprison them in body and mind.

LWM
Both Wilder and I. A. L. Diamond were born in Eastern Europe.
My husband is an eastern European (Czech Republic). They understand that there are far more important things going on in the world than men wearing pantyhose.
Do you prefer control-top or not? ;-}

Pedinska. The Mong tomatoes.
I met Pedinska while she was on a DC drinking spree.
She sips blueberry wine from a white styrofoam cup.
It's something she'd never better deny.
She went all crazy about the DC Garden.
Pedinska talks always of a Buddha foot.
There is a Buddha plant named that. Also:
Pedinkska gave me a packet of Mong seed.

RMP
I think it is quite illuminating that even the *Canadian* police were using agents provocateur against non violent anti war protesters. In later news it was admitted by government spokesmen that the three men were indeed cops.
If this can happen in Canada, what then of the US?
Recall the black clad "anarchists" at the WTO meetings in Seattle, they ended up provoking what amounted to a police riot. I think there is an excellent chance they were agents provocateur.
I recall from back in the sixties and seventies that one piece of advice given to those who were organizing protests that anyone who advocated violence was quite likely a government infiltrator.

Can the State muzzle Little Brother?
I can think of ways that they could, but it would be very obvious that they were doing so.

T-shirts
Arne & Kitt, my hubby's fave is an image of Bush and Cheney is prison orange suits and shackles.
My favorite is a pink breast cancer awareness t with two strategically placed softballs that says "Save 2nd Base" underneath.
His gets frowns or high-fives. Mine gets a lot of belly laughs and, hopefully, thought.

CIA Director Gen. Hayden on Meet the Press
I know some people think Hayden is a corrective, but he came across as quite the creep this morning with Russert.
I hope Greenwald explores Hayden's replies that torture is OK if the Atty General says its OK. But, by the way, CIA officers will now have taxpayer-paid liability insurance.
You know, just in case the accidently rendition somebody off to a Syrian torture chamber or something.

Another example
This excellent March 31 New Yorker article by Eric Alterman, Out of Print: The death and life of the American newspaper, just sent to me by a friend, gives an in-depth examination of the transformation of newspapers the Internet has made happen.

What was even more interesting..
About the Canadian agents provocateur was their sheer amateurish arrogance..
They actually went out to do this thing wearing police issue boots.
It wasn't just wrong, even worse, it was stupid!

Retired Military Patriot.
Officer!
When you least expect it, R.M.P.
A Mong Tomato, with one bite!
Powwow. I'll fling one at you.

She sips blueberry wine from a white styrofoam cup.
My favorite memory of that trip. That was just wonderful fun!
Buddha should just take that foot and plant it in Mukasey's sitter-downer. That'd give him something to cry about!
I'll see if I can't pack up some of the pepper plants to bring you when I'm down in June.
And yes, I second RMP. Thank you for sharing your memories and for showing us the true better part of valour.

@Aycharaych, Jack Sparx
Aycharaych: Yes indeed. The truth is the best weapons against thuggery and law breaking especially when those sworn to uphold the law don't.
Jack Sparx: I saw some of that interview. I notice that Hayden in asking tax payers to pay for insurance for his CIA agents if someone tries to sue them for illegal acts, didn't ask that it be retroactive insurance. Our congress might think that is OK on things like the FISA law, but I am not surprised that insurance companies find that idea abhorant. When a lawyer as counsel to the president or in the DoJ proclaims that an illegal act is not legal, like torture, we will need a Supreme Court and other judges that believe the rule of law is more important than politics. We don't need judges like Mukasey or politicians like Schumer.

Return the high 5! Apologize!
Maybe instead of a Mong, a Aunt Ruby German Green heirloom?
That old variety is ripe while green. It taste like it's been salted.
How about Pedinska's Mong?
She can have cheese and herb.
A Mong sliced red toasted tomato.
What a modicum of great annoyance.
When will Glenn begin screaming, stop?
Who gets the 16% most irritating award?

More oil on the fire
Thing's GG's regular posters regularly disagree on (besides prostitution).
The "I" word was the obvious one, but you have to add third party candidates (either Libertarian or Green), 9/11 stuff, atheism, Obama v. Clinton (or Clinton v. Obama), Ron Paul, Huckabee, gun control, the military, the draft, etc.
Most of the regulars here do agree that we do like the "rule of law" but still think that some laws are draconian (drug laws) and should be changed, scrapped, modified, etc.
I see very few posters support the unitary executive except the regular RW posters, and somehow I think they'll lose their enthusiasm for it if it were in Hillary or Obama's hands.
