Still more media stars admit there is a pervasive pro-McCain double standard in their coverage.

  • Mosaic (continued)

    of the 4000 dead.

  • If foreign policy experience is the sine qua non for the Presidency...

Then my nomination would have to go to one of the longest serving, most experienced leaders in the world today. A man tested by actual combat, a fighter who has taken on, and beaten, one of the largest empires in history, not just once but many times!

No, there can be only one choice for the Presidency, and that is Fidel Castro. I think he is younger than McBomb too! %>)

  • @LWM, in a marked manner!

LWM or if you prefer, L.W.M. (just so there's no confusion) I demand to know how you registered an account under my name and made posts, as Buckyl says.

As for why you would want to, your own pleasure in degradation is of no interest to me, and I offer no censure for it.

But how is it done? Or are there lots of people registered as "Derbig Mooser" and we never know who is writing posts under that name? That's a hell of a system?

Do you want me to try it myself with your name? I'm warning you LWM, don't drive me to that extremity!!!

  • The Iran connection

Is actually even weaker than L.W.M. says, which is already too weak to mean anything. Muktada al-Sadr and the Mahdi army are the nationalist part of the Shia, that makes them anti-Iranian influence too. The biggest pro-Iran Shia faction is the Maliki government/Badr brigade (al-Hakim who controls the Badr brigade is a member of the government). So maybe they know its Iranian weaponry because they found purple finger dye on it or a copy of Bush's State of the Union Address or something.

  • @ bookworm529

No wonder you call yourself a worm! You, too, refuse to give McCain credit for the "wet start" technique which was so instrumental in the fate of naval enlisted men on aircraft carriers!

    Give the man his due!

  • Yo Derbig

bucky1 was guessing. Nobody is tailing you. Keep your head up and keep using that salt water so you don't get dry socket. I feel for you, I once had an extraction accident and they damaged the nerve in my jaw. I get sick from codeine, they gave it to me anyway and the whole side of my face blew up. Just keep using that salt water and remember to chant, "This too will pass."

  • @Casual Observer

OK, OK. You produce crappy dreck.

Cas, I never had the slightest expectation that the truth would not be immediately recognised by you.

So I guess I will register as LWM and start writing posts under his name. Or did he write this one.

I'll say one thing for you Cas. You do live up to your handle. It's a cool quality I've always admired, but never been able to attain, sigh.

  • @Bill Owen re: Bucky vs LWM

I don't know how many names LWM uses. I wonder how you do? Syntactical analysis? Word frequency tables? Or are you hacking the Salon servers and harvesting IP's?

He has admitted several. The fact that he uses sock puppets mainly to play games as he has also admitted often would seem to be disruptive of the big purpose that you think we all have here.

It don't matter. Can we get back to the discussion? Just pretend they are all LWM or some combination thereof? Seriously, does it matter to you?

I would like nothing better than for every poster here to post only as themselves and try their dead level best to destroy the empire and help us back to a republic. Yes, we could help a lot of homeless guys in my town with a tiny fraction of the money we spend on the killing machine.

By the way, I only answered omooex's question. Sorry you did not like the answer, or the sudden appearance of a handle not seen here in a month or two only minutes later. Spooky, eh? :-)

  • @ Bill Owen

I'm very bad celery indeed. And bebop is never played.

You ask for us to get back to business. Honestly, is there a lot more to be said? The media stick with what they know, and what they know is what happened yesterday, just like the infamous Administration Spokesman said.

He was wrong, of course, about what makes today, let alone tomorrow, different from yesterday. If McCain gets his head handed to him in November, someone will distribute new songbooks, and even Tweety will sing a new tune.

Now then, how shall we get from here to there? (Hint: don't ask Chuck Todd.)

  • Another Patriot and Gentleman!

But, as soon as he (Obama) does illegal, immoral, or just pain wrong things; I will be against whatever the item is. I am just that way; to be otherwise one would have to be completely interested only in the self and which 'team' is best for my self. I am not of that nature

Buckyl, I knew your best self would show eventually, if that is you, cause I just registered under your name! Oh are we gonna have fun! But where was I, oh yes. You just keep your eye on Obama and if he does any of those things, you scream like hell! Your reputation for probity, as exhibited here will make your warnings more than Cassandric or Jeremiriadic, they will be taken seriously, like my posts under your handle! Try and stop me, sucka!

  • @ mooser

I'll say one thing for you Cas. You do live up to your handle. It's a cool quality I've always admired, but never been able to attain, sigh.

That sarcasm sounds suspiciously like LWM's writing style when he uses his Timberman handle.

  • @ JKalos Mosaics, Question

It is rare to read any article in the American or British press which mentions the American dead and also mentions the Iraqi dead, even the ludicrously low Bush number of 30,000.

Watch for this. It's true. Even during WWII the press would print "the score". It's kind of like reading "the Yankees played the Mets today. The Yankees got 6 runs."

Until America starts acknowledging those alien deaths, nothing will change.

I wonder if in Iraq they produce similar, although vastly larger, mosaics, and whose pictures would they use?

A credible number for Iraqi dead is 650,000. It may be as high as 1.2 million.

"Even" 30,000 is too many for nothing but a lie and dream of empire.
