How was it done in your case;
I'm very much the outsider, I've never really fit anywhere and my point of view is seriously warped according to the standards of the average American.
My family loves me but they think I'm exceedingly strange and they almost never listen to what I have to say. Aside from my brother, with whom I agree on most things anyway, I can't think of a single person IRL who is willing to talk to me about anything more controversial than the weather.
I can't imagine why.. ;-)
