re: @ Bucky --- Statistics
2 million is not out of the question, but it is not a number that the American public could ever come to terms with. But neither is 650,000 for that matter, nor the 3 million Vietnamese. They have been turned into red mist, smoke and released into the stratosphere.
Herr Eichmann may have been right when he said, "One hundred dead are a catastrophe, a million dead are a statistic."
Oppenheimer knew the score, "I have become death, the destroyer of worlds".
-- Bill Owen
I do not dispute anything you say; but if we do not make America see what she has done, then she will do it again. Someone in national politics must ask why we have a world wide killing machine and why 2 million Iraqi people has to die when they had no means of hurting us at all.
If we never ask that question seriously, we will just get Red-state v. Blue-state in the super bowl to see whose thieves get to steal from the working man for the next 4 years.
