"But a war with the hated Iranians may give them the wedge issue they can exploit."
By all means, they should wedge-away. They'll find all they can split off is about 30%, or thereabouts. After they put that wedge down, they can go to the black wrought-iron fence around the White House and peer in, along with the other tourists.
