One of Instapundit's favorite blogs speaks on race

"I am sick to death of black people as a group ... We're teetering at the edge of believing that you're a secret society, a massive collection of sleeper cells just waiting for your chance to do serious harm to the rest of us."

The letters thread is now closed.

warning for iokannan -

we don't know it for sure yet but he might be a comedian making fun of us! So beware - answer really serious.

and we have to say -

the last for pages of this thread - if you print them out they show some kind of visible poetry!

that "dirty secret" we all know

I've never met a nigger in my life, only people.

End of discussion.

All about you

"I would see a small black child skipping down the street and know that, perhaps five years down the road, that child would almost certainly have a face filled with sullen anger and resentment, all interest in learning extinguished. And I would be the enemy".

"Almost certainly", huh? You seem to be more concerned about the prospect of your being seen as the enemy than the welfare of that child. But that is illustrative of the whole argument of people like you and "old punk". It's about you.

Last chance before you fall off, Proximity Warning.

"Perhaps I'm simply old fashioned enough to believe in things like 'ideals'. Although I'm as cynical as the next on some things."

Well, your ascribing of ideals or cynicism to a given situation seems to split pretty much down party lines. Hence, you are a partisan.

And when did I do this?

"Do you read minds now, or are you just presuming motives? Perhaps its you who needs 'help' if your starting to think you're telepathic."

This isn't telepathy. It's basic political analysis. A results in B. You'd be well-served if you boned up on it. You don't seem to have the vaguest clue.

My Master of Arts is in Political Science, emphasis in Public Policy, with research done in eastern Ohio. If I've learned anything from wading through that moral and ethical swamp, its that things are never as simple as your 'basic political analysis'.

"Will you say the same for Hagee and Parsley and McCain? Somehow I doubt it."

If it becomes an issue - eg. if there evidence a substantial enough number of people are bothered by that endorsement/relationiship - then I wouldn't try to offset it by pointing to what a swell guy Hagee is outside of his looney-tune pronouncements.

Little chance of that anyway; Hagee is a huckster and snake oil salesman. He has no record of either public service or charitable acts.

The contrast with Wright, who does, couldn't be more clear.

"A strange characterization, especially since you presume much of Glenn's character."

I'm not presuming anything. I read his joyless, humorless, plodding bitchy diatribes all the time.

How sad that's all you see. Still, can't be helped.

"How is it "boilerplate"?"

It's been used a hundred thousand times before (as has the 'people who refuse to think for themselves' meme) and never to less effect.

Must've touched a nerve. Probably hit some truth without realizing it.

"Whether you can deal with such critiques is a matter between you and your own soul."

Oh God, he's talking about my soul. Don't worry. I'm sure Barack and Michelle will be ready to mend any deficits my soul might suffer come November.

That's between you and the gods, friend. I'm sure the Obamas will have more important things to deal with after November.

Yep -- it's true --

"Here's the dirty secret all of us know and no one will admit to. There ARE niggers. . . ."

And as that word actually refers to attitude, not color, the demographic percentages mean that the majority of them are white.

"However much they may scream and protest, black people will know what I mean when I demand they concede that the following people are niggers:

- Jeremiah Wright

- O.J. Simpson

- Marion Barry

- Alan Iverson

- William Jefferson

- Louis Farrakhan"

He left out every member of the Bshit criminal enterprise. And every right-wing extremist nutball racist/white supremacist who blames the victim of their racism for the racism. The "Free speech for me and thee -- unless you disagree with me" fcrowd who absolutely can't handle the reality that reality itself is diversity.

"You see, you've just given life to the suspicion that black people in America are, and have long been, a fifth column -- unanimously hating the very country that has afforded the highest standard of living ever achieved by black people in human history."

Ya gotta agree: lynching is a pretty high standard . . .

"We're teetering at the edge of believing that you're a secret society, a massive collection of sleeper cells just waiting for your chance to do serious harm to the rest of us."

And that is a clearcut projection of deserved guilt for not only dragging that collection of "sleeper cells" onto this continent against its will, but continuing to spew the same racist swill that justified that action, and slavery, in the first instance. Those who spew that same old racist swill are the worst of the worst of niggers.

I offer a salute

to the gentle prophet.

More of this

"My Master of Arts is in Political Science, emphasis in Public Policy, with research done in eastern Ohio. If I've learned anything from wading through that moral and ethical swamp, its that things are never as simple as your 'basic political analysis'."

Then you clearly haven't learned anything from it. Do you honestly intend to imply that the race speech's addressing of Wright would have happened absent the media storm about Wright and its impact on Obama's poll ratings? Get a clue.

"Little chance of that anyway; Hagee is a huckster and snake oil salesman. He has no record of either public service or charitable acts."

So the man's a bastard, demonstrably. Doesn't stop Wright being a scumbag.

"Must've touched a nerve."

That's a cliche and a standard response for those with no repartee. Talk about not thinking.

"That's between you and the gods, friend. I'm sure the Obamas will have more important things to deal with after November."

I'm an atheist so it's really between me and me.

In anycase, according to his wife, you're wrong. The repair of the broken American soul is very high on the Obama's agenda.

Still holding on, Proximity Warning?

I'm almost impressed.

Get a clue.

Here's a clue for you: it was likely a combination of political calculation and serious ideals that prompted him to speak when he did about what he did. The speech after all touched on the Wright controversy only briefly.

I've never disputed political calculation plays a part in the actions of either side. I merely believe it is not always the primary driver of what Obama, McCain and Clinton do.

"Little chance of that anyway; Hagee is a huckster and snake oil salesman. He has no record of either public service or charitable acts."

So the man's a bastard, demonstrably. Doesn't stop Wright being a scumbag.

Perhaps. Perhaps a few poorly chosen words don't negate a lifetime of service to one's community.

"Must've touched a nerve."

That's a cliche and a standard response for those with no repartee. Talk about not thinking.

If you say so. Personally, I think I just touched a nerve given how visceral your responses are getting.

"That's between you and the gods, friend. I'm sure the Obamas will have more important things to deal with after November."

I'm an atheist so it's really between me and me.

In anycase, according to his wife, you're wrong. The repair of the broken American soul is very high on the Obama's agenda.

Here's hoping. The last twenty-eight years haven't been easy on anyone.
