LIMBAUGH: There are two reasons. What color is the skin of the people in Darfur?CALLER: Uh, yeah.
LIMBAUGH: It's black. And who do the Democrats really need to keep voting for them? If they lose a significant percentage of this voting bloc, they're in trouble.
CALLER: Yes. Yes. The black population.
LIMBAUGH: Right. So you go into Darfur and you go into South Africa, you get rid of the white government there. You put sanctions on them. You stand behind Nelson Mandela -- who was bankrolled by communists for a time, had the support of certain communist leaders. You go to Ethiopia. You do the same thing.
Right, see ... opposing apartheid was a communist plot and racism against whites to get blacks to vote for Democrats.
Now Limbaugh is saying that Obama has disowned his white half. And this is who high ranking Republicans (such as the Vice President who has been on the show) depend on. Where's the scandal over this?
Hello, Glenn.
I appreciate and never fail to read your posts. I think you are the finest voice commenting on American politics today.
I do, however, object to anyone using the 'N' word, no matter which side of whichever argument they are on. Even when you are quoting the vilest racist, I prefer that this word be censored from the quotation. It is the obligation of all white people generally to self-censor themselves not to use this word. And I find the notion of black people "taking back" this word to be causing serious harm as well, as it gives the false impression to youth that it has somehow become okay to use this word.
It is never okay to use this word.
Folks, they are not honest. They are plain old, everyday, garden variety racists. That is all they are and that is all they have ever been and will be with regard to their views of black folks. We don't want to have a dialog or discussion with them because there is nothing really to discuss. We have no interest really in being a branch on their learning tree.
What's probably missing here for "punk" is healthy contact with actual real normal adult black people. Were he to acquire said contact, he might learn that (a) many, as has been pointed out, take an equally dim view of wannabe thugs and their behavior and (b) they aren't afraid of them. Many have actually suffered crime at their hands, but they are able to distinguish between kids and criminals.
"Punk" has every right to be annoyed. But he's just scared because he doesn't know them, and he doesn't realize that his fear colors his response. None of them do. Yet the next step for them in manly posturing and verbal aggression.
The deranged ravings will need sane attention. You are correct to counter the demented warped and little Glenn R. etcs
I agree the hate, if not checked, ridiculed, and shown for how ugly,,,, an insane mind will disease 'our' society.
Dr EyeBall was clear.
`
I live 6-miles from the Mason-Dixon Line.
I see brown, white, and black mow-cow-milkers.
There are no such despicable dress codes scream about.
`
"I am sick to death:" (GR) talkers are difficult to tolerate. Glenn Renold is describing a secret fantasy wish? G.R. want to dress in the new day dress code and sleep with those he critiques? ?~ The fill-in-jibber (worn) expression (I am sick to death) (To tell you the truth etc.,) words are Fill-In-Nothings? The empty phrases that precede a Hate-Rant from anyone/anywhere....
..... indicates to me a malformed and maladapted, twisted-logic, sputter is about to be spewed to nauseate an audience forced to tolerate.
Cliche.
Prepare for a ill-right-wing-hater tirade!
"I am sick to death" phrase is usually a signal to the listener of Glenn Reynold's ilk--
Poor Glenn wears his pants so low down... That if Greenwalds T-shirt wasn't pulled over the lawyer plumber-cleavage....
A site such as that can ruin our Sunday egg hunt and dinner. Glenn (?) needs a pair of green
Easter suspenders? Glenn wears a Easter bonnet and walks in a parade with his pants half up or maybe half down.
I need a glass of water.
GR would use a black dye on ever Easter egg.
GR would paint a Sunrise using only a black crayola.
"By the way, Chris Rock regrets his "nigger" bit quite profoundly now, seeing as how it's been abused over and over by dumb white people who fancy themselves cultural critics."
hehehehehe. well, I don't know Mr. Rock, I am a long time fan. don't know if he has any regrets. if you watch the entire bit, you'll get to the part where he's talking about the white trash out in their trailers, eating mayo on white bread sandwhiches and fukin de sister--don't think he was trying to spare anybody.
point is, trash is cross ethnic. when you go to the fast food joint in de hood and the voice on the box, axes,"whan de muffukin fries wid dat?" you know theres some sort of cultural/educational failure thing going on.
we all know the stats about blacks in prison, etc., etc. these problems need to be fixed(years ago!). need some real leadership here. the tired old Jesse, Al bs never got anybody ahead. Jesse and Al look like some sort of cartoon characters.
hopefully Obama is the beginning of a change. maybe he can get the conversation going and get people to see some reality.
I find that particular phrase to be enlightening. Why? Because of this:
And I hereby further declare all indented servants, Negroes, or others (appertaining to Rebels) free, that are able and willing to bear arms, they joining His Majesty's Troops, as soon as may be, for the more speedily reducing the Colony to a proper sense of their duty, to this Majesty's crown and dignity.-- Lord Dunmore's Proclamation
This proclamation came to be during the American Revolution. It was the British attempt to bolster their forces while weakening the Rebels. But why would they do that? Could it be that the British saw the inherent hypocrasy in proclaiming freedom for some but not for all?
Of course Instapunk forgets that inspite of continued persecution and segregation black soldiers fought along whites in great numbers from the Revolution onward. The only way you can them as a fifth column is if you believe that they should simply shut up and stay in their place and let their benevolent masters take care of them (as Pat Buchanan recently stated). But the real threat is not to America but to the dominant cultural scheme that people like Instapunk cling to and fear will crumble around them. The same fear that the British tried to exploit two centuries before.
