"Besides, have you already conveniently forgotten the "not black enough" judgment rendered on Obama - before SC? Gosh, where did that one come from? Another fave trope?"
Uh, that came from black conservative commentators, mostly. They told you that we rank and file blacks out here questioned whether or not he is black enough, and you believed it. So, yes, it is another fave trope.
"It's pretty apparent that very few posters on this site have any real world knowledge of black life in America, other than those who actually are black. It's also pretty apparent that those who have the least knowledge are the quickest to hand out the most scathing judgments on matters racial".
I'm a black man.
Mr.Greenwood,Yes everyone has a title. We have the redneck who is so ignorant he's usally in the Klu Klux Klan and they have no education or they would see the blackman as a man a human being, where God created us all equal!! but It's ignorant people that call a man of Black color a nigger.White suprmist are another group that claim theres no other race but white,(White Trash)another group with no education. I just want to set the record straight, you probably call a vietnemese a kook or keek something like that,What makes you so superior?.Even if your white you call the poor whiteman trash or I could say a few more. That's what Obama is trying to do make everyone be accounted for theres no black yellow red white or yellow to stand together to make our nation strong. To fight the and change mans way of thinking,Drugs is another way our enemy is trying to whipe us out, race against race and we are one!! We shall unite and show these other countries that we are inferior that our women are not important,or redman is not important, the blackman is not important, the yellow and Also the white man!We do not stand together we are divided because of simple shallow people like you.I'm white,my husband,my children were all white,So listen to this young man that was brought up two colors and doesn't look like he has failed or hated He's a young man that wants to make a difference.I believe he csn!and will if we can just educate simple white trash such as yourself. LL Henderson ps we most definately don't want war with Iran! Think about what you have said and reread your statement.Youmay change your mind!
I am not going to address your point-by-point argument. For one thing, I have seen them before and those points don't sway me. I also notice you did not address my points about Wright.
Barring some unseen catastrophe, the remaining superdelegates will not, I repeat will not, move to Hillary Clinton in sufficient numbers.
I have no doubt that you are correct, but if there is an unseen catastrophe that substantially impacts Obama's electability, they will move to Clinton. What you might call catastrophe, Clinton supporters might call opportunity. Think more Chinese: crisis = opportunity.
Also, I believe that Florida and Michigan should be counted in some manner.
The word behind the scenes is that superdelegates and other party elites, even high-ranking members of Clinton's campaign, overwhelmingly believe that Obama will, even should, receive the nomination.
Please post evidence and not speculation about what Clinton's team believes. What some alleged anonymous so-and-so says doesn't sway me at all. I see no reason Obama should receive the nomination if Clinton can wrest it from him. That's politics. If she can, she is one hell of a good politician. Until then, a 10% chance is not the same as no chance at all.
Hillary Clinton and her supporters need to recognize the indelible writing on the wall and, if they won't back out and shift support for Obama, at least hold fire on the personal attacks upon him.
See my letter to Doloresflower on why I think the personal is the political. Clinton supporters should not hold fire. If the roles were reversed, Obama supporters would not hold fire. If Obama is vulnerable on personal issues, then let me recall to your memory how many attacks Hillary Clinton has sustained about her hair, her hips, her ankles, her non-fallen tears, and the race baiting she sustained for her perfectly accurate remarks about MLK, LBJ, and JFK. Please remember how she has been vilified for her marriage, a stained dress, and a non-existent murder of Vince Foster. She has been called a bitch, a witch, a cunt, and bizzarely a nun by Obama supporters here at Salon.
Please don't whine to me about personal attacks.
For any Clinton supporter apparently such as yourself to continue to propagate this fraudulent, unfair, and despicable narrative against Obama regarding his former pastor is not only shameful but self-defeating.
There is just one problem: You haven't proven that I have done any such thing. Please don't engage in magical thinking. Glenn brought up the issue and you refuse to address why is is a false comparison -- McCain's endorsements to Obama's 20 year membership in Wright's church. Oh do you think just because Glenn disposes we are all supposed to agree? In case you missed it, my argument is about electability in the fall, which is far more important than Obama being given his chance. The Republicans will attack him on Wright far more than I have. I am merely pointing out how it hurts him in the fall.
Obama will be the nominee. The only question is how many of his wounds by the time of the general election will have been inflicted by "fellow" Democrats.
It is very disingenuous for you to say that. You are basically saying, "Please don't hurt my guy." Did you hold fire when you were hurting my gal?
I say let the games continue until the games are ended in a clear conclusion. I was so amused when people were saying that Hillary should bow out graciously before Texas voted. "Graciously" is such a lady-word. It evokes images of serving tea. Bullshit on that! She is not a lady. She is politician.
I think she should quit when she is ready and only then. Obama has done his share of little judo tricks. There is no high road between them.
One of my points in this thread is that Obama supporters should stop labeling his opposition as racist. It only drives Clinton supporters away from him in the event that he does win.
Now, should Hillary manage it, will you vote for her the same way that I will vote for Obama if he gets the nomination?
