*gag*

Wow. Just wow. I'm disgusted, but I also wonder if you really needed to reprint the picture. Aren't we giving credence to his stalwart journalism by repeated such trash?

Sick

sick sick sick.

Wednesday, March 19, 2008 06:06 PM

Too bad

Monica didn't have a MySpace page, with some original tunes on it.

Wednesday, March 19, 2008 06:07 PM

this is what genuinely worries me...

...simply regaining the White House, the Senate, and the House won't even *begin* to fix things. we have to separate the corporate from the media. and the corporate...? they have A LOT of resources. every cretin at every network/newspaper/radio station, for one thing. oh, and then, partial ownership of our own effing Democratic party.

oy. oy oy oy.

It wasn't from some obscure blog. It's from ABC News. It's going to be seen and circulated whether I talk about it and display it or not. I think it's more important to illustrate the depravity in its full visceral sickness than be concerned about how many more people will see it if I publish it.

Wow, that's just pathetic.

I mean, what else can be said? Pathetic.

Brian Ross Not Bad

I have no ox to gore in this discussion. I like good investigative journalism. I read Glenn's stuff daily, lots of TPM, etc. I had not read Brian's stuff until about a year ago and had no idea of his past. His spot at ABC has been the only ABC I ever look at, though admitedly, not often. But he regularly does some good work.

Brian was just the first out of the gate. I am sure that a dozen or more varied news organizations were on the same sort of hunt. They have used the whiteout to hide everything of possible controversy. It was hiding, a lack of transparency. The cover-up invites increased scrutiny. And, this is not "There Will Be Dirt", this is "There's Dirt!" And putting it together with the so-called "Diaries" is today's fastest growing market opportunity: add two facts together and you don't get two, you get Bingo!

Poor Bill and Hill.

ACTION

GO TO ABC NEWS WEBSITE. TYPE "FUCK BRIAN ROSS" IN THE SEARCH BOX AND HIT ENTER.

Maybe they check to see what people are searching for on their site and they'll get the message?

Oh I know

I saw that headline today on Google News. Couldn't even click on it.

Christ that picture is something else though. I swear, is that from The Onion?

revolting

How vile, how depressing, how revealing. The saddest part, and that's saying something, as that the venal bastards know what sells, and then they play it. Over, and over, and over. The lowest common denominator. In the slide down the dumbing of America, the msm is the lubricant.

I guess now we know why they wanted the diary...

Such a classy bunch we have in the Village media. Can't wait for MoDo's column on it. It is sure to be up to her high standards.

Check this out

I just ran across this at NY Times:

Sebastian Horsley, a British author who has written an eyebrow-raising memoir detailing a life of rampant drug use and voluminous encounters with prostitutes, was turned back at Newark Liberty International Airport on Tuesday as he tried to enter the United States for a book party and New York news media tour.

Glenn is pointing out how vile this story and its picture are. He is not promoting it any more than Media Matters promotes the speciousness of right-wing media outlets.

The worst, sleaziest press corps possible

I'm a 100 percent Obama supporter, and this just burns me up. Clinton has made an issue of her experience while First Lady, claiming participation in critical events that make her more ready to handle a crisis on day one than her opponent. We get a cache of previously secret documents that could shed some light on that claim, and what's the first use they are put to? It was also ABC that first ran the Wright soundbites. It's all sideshow these days at ABC.

Wednesday, March 19, 2008 06:21 PM

hmm

The MSM does the dirty work, but it doesn't take long to spread, does it? Including by you.

It's almost as if you're saying if we don't talk about it, they'll get bored of doing it and stop!

That works so well on bullies. They are well known to get bored and stop bothering the kids that try and ignore them.

It also worked so well for President Kerry. Aren't we lucky he ignored the advice to fight back on the Swift Boat Veterans? That one might have hurt him if he had given it the dignity of responding.

In seriousness, there is a difference between unwittingly spreading a lie by "discussing the controversy" and directly confronting it like Glenn is doing here. He also hit them again on the Anthrax business which is good. This is how you get journalists to stop this shit. Find the ones who start these snowballs rolling down the mountain, and expose them.

Wednesday, March 19, 2008 06:23 PM

yep

the huff post is actually running it as actual news vs glenn who is showing how truly disgusting this is. I didn't think it was possible for me to be surprised at what the media throws out there but each day they sink further. I should have been expecting something to get worse today after being forced to watch Glen Beck tonight.

ABC

The outlet that played "Path to 9-11" a right wing revisionist fake history of terrorism in America.

Fox doesn't have the monopoly on blatant lying to advance the right wing agenda.

Just perhaps

If Hillary Clinton had been more attentive to her husband, (including finding time for marital fellatio,) the president wouldn't have needed to get his blowjobs elsewhere. Or, he might at least have held out for a girlfriend who swallowed.
