  • Thank you, Glenn, for a brilliant post

This whole topic is just disgusting and infuriating. Anyone reading this post who doesn't feel righteous outrage just doesn't understand the value of the freedoms we enjoyed in this country for so many years. And to think all that has been sold out for dumbass war criminal George W. Bush and his ilk. God damn them.

  • @adnoto- thanks for bothering.

In particular, thanks for clarifying that you do recognize the the distinction between taking to the streets and violent insurrection. That wasn’t really clear from your recent posts. I was thrown off by your mention of shouldering a weapon and the repeated use of the Jefferson line “The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants” quoted in bold.

    A few questions.

Do you only believe that violence is an interesting historical precedent, or do you think it is an appropriate course of action in our current situation?

If your view on the value of writing responses to a blog is “Apparently entertaining to some and helpful to Glenn but ultimately worthless.” , why do you have 124 published letters in Glenn’s blog comments?

Are you saying that “a few million of their countrymen camped out under the Washington monument” is the type of action that has a chance of success?

If not, what are you suggesting in its place?

  • Look to Canada

For an example to how an opposition party is supposed to act. The leader of the NDP is demanding the prime minister's chief of staff to render his resignation over the leak of this memo at a crucial moment in the US elections. What comparable thing did the Dems do over the arguably much bigger scandal of the Valerie Plame outing? I mean, demanding real consequences for an administrations actions? What a concept....

  • Piss on the Liar-in-Chief and his whole criminal gang

    Need I say more?!

  • @adnoto, my old friend,

I would have been in there, pitchin' for you, putting these guys in there lava-lamped place, but you said you wouldn't suffer fools! In that case, buddy, don't count on me. But simple humanity prompts me to once again plead with you: Adnoto, my friend, please, please, please (ooh, I like that; maybe it could be a lyric) seek therapy for your acute episode of Asperger's Syndrome-by-proxy Syndrome, by proxy. This is a serious condition, and not to be trifled with!

  • IT'S CLOBBERING TIME!!!!!

IT'S CLOBBERING TIME FOR THESE MENDACIOUS, FLAGRANT LAWBREAKERS WHO FEEL THEY CAN DO SO WITH IMPUNITY!!!!! THOSE WHO MISUSE GOVERNMENT POWERS WILL BE PUNISHED BY THE INEXORABLE TURN OF THE KARMIC WHEEL OF RETRIBUTION, WHICH WILL CRUSH Bush, Cheney, Mukasey, Bushland Uber Allies UNDER ITS EVER-GRINDING WHEEL OF RETURNING PAYMENT FOR THEIR MANY HIGH CRIMES. Bush, Cheney and Bushland Uber Allies WILL SUFFER THE ENORMITY OF THEIR CRIMES AS THE WHEEL TURNS AND GRINDS THEIR MISERABLE BONES INTO DUST!!!!!

  • Who's kidding whom?

The government has not obeyed the law. The government is not obeying the law. The government will not obey the law. So why try to fix the law?

The only solution is to exploit technology to make government surveillance impossible.

  • Schoking new revelations

Schocking new revelations? Did anyone REALLY expect different behavior from an agency with few (if any)checks for accountability? Things here in US of A are going to get much worseMaybe time is getting close to seek political asylum in the newly more democratic countries like China, N. Korea, Russia, Venezuela or Uganda?
