Methinks W Dost Protest Too Loudly.

Can anyone not easily imagine that one possible reason the W administration is so worked up over this immunity issue, is what would come out from the telcos, otherwise? (eg, Telcos to W: if we're going down, we're taking you with us ...)

Say, it comes to light that in Oct/Noc 2004, that all the major media outlets, and Kerry/Edward offices had their calls tracked in real-time.

While it might be the case that the NSA hasn't the resources to record those calls literally (but who knows, really?), even the calling patterns (who's talking to who, and when) could've been of tremendous use to Karl Rove, Roger Black, et.al

me personally, it's been hard to believe this adminstration has not been caught with its hands deep in the cookie jar. yet.

Can you get a press pass??

I'm sorry if it's been asked and answered before, or if there's not time to answer it now, but I am wondering, could you have been at that press conference, and asked the questions, and in the way you (and most of us) wish the other members of the press would ask?

Not that you'd get picked to ask, understand.

I guess it's actually moot: in the unlikely event you actually did get picked to ask, Sir George would give you that "are you clueless, or what" sneer, like Parcells does in the Coor's commercial; all the other members of the "press" would break out in laughter, and George would snicker and say "next question."

He's so got everyone over a barrel. It sucks.

Thanks, though, for keeping on keeping on, all the same.
