Privatization
"That would be the telephone system. It doesn't belong to you."
Ah, for the good old days when we had public utilities -- you know, kind of a quasi-socialistic state where things like electricity, water, sewage, and even the phones belonged to, well, us. Then the crooks came in, bought the 'infrastructure' for a song, whittled down the workforce, neglected the upkeep, and set about sucking us dry . . .
Heck, even the current resident of the WH made a bundle on using public money for private gain (http://query.nytimes.com/gst/fullpage.html?res=9A06E1DE1439F935A25754C0A9649C8B63)
you gotta love free enterprise. It's given us the best gummint money can buy . . .
